Hey everyone - I'm brand new
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I'm going to set up my Plug-in-Profit site at some point today. I'd like to buy it from someone somewhat new who maybe is struggling with their budget still (like me) so first person who asks and is actually telling the truth wins!

I have a couple questions first. I'm a little worried about the ethics involved in promoting products that I haven't used successfully. I notice a lot of people register domains like 24hourprofit or use ads claiming you'll make large sums in a small amount of time - yet, on Suzanne Morrison's blog she said it took her a few months before she was is profit. I don't know that I'd feel right trying to get people to buy my product when I don't know if it works yet!

I want my site to be less like one the millions of sites out there promising that you'll instantly be working on the beach and driving a ferrari and more a site that's a refuge from that sort and thiung and offers REAL business opportunities, many of them free. So I'm thinking of using a domain name like "deathtoscammers" or the like. What do you all think of this? Am I dooming myself to failure if I don't exagerrate and target the "make millions overnight" crowd?

Also, I don't have the money to join lawnchair millionaire yet but I want to eventually, so is there a way that I can enter my lawn chair millionaire affiliate link onto my website instead of my sponsors? Can I do this for empowerism, too? (I'm undecided on that one.)

(Sorry if this was long - I'm a writer during my day job.)

Thanks.

Starfire27, welcome to the forum!

Here it is straight up...

If you are serious about building a business online
then the Plug-in Profit Site is where you should start!

No you will not make a million dollars within your first
month nor will you be laying on the beach drinking
Margarita's 30 days from now! Unless you already have
your vacation scheduled to do so!

This system is to help you and guide you on how to do it
correctly. If you have a small budget and are willing to put
forth some effort to build your online business then you will
have no problem doing so with the Plug-in Profit Site!

As far as the other programs, you can join and implement
your affiliate ID's latter in your back office once you join
or upgrade. The only thing you will need to pay for now is
the hosting through Host4Profit.

Now, as far as your website goes... I would not recommend
using deathtoscammers.com! I would use something that is
going to suit your market. Maybe something like:

Honest-Marketer.com or Honest-Home-Biz.com

That way you can promote thing that you believe in and
you'll make a name for yourself as the Honest Marketer!

Here is a small list of people you could join under:

Bob Wehrsdorfer

Leon Bowes

Alan Mater

Charles Ellibee

Craig Sinclair

Charles Chege

Mira Stjepic

Good luck,

Bill Shultz

Hello Starfire27,

Welcome to the forum. You are wise in asking up front as there are many programs out there that claim to make you rich overnight. I won't reiterate what Bill has already said, but the simple fact is that PIPS is different... it actually works, but only if you're willing to make it work. You get out of it what you put into it. That's with any business, online or off.

You sound like you're someone who is serious about going this direction. For that I applaud you. the PIPS system would be a good start for someone like you. It's a great introduction into the world of internet marketing. It has helped me out a lot within the past 3+ years.

I also agree with Bill that there's no need to sign up with every program in PIPS if you don't feel comfortable or you don't have the money. As you start to build your business and make money, you can then join the other programs or upgrade to make even more.

I would also follow Bill's suggestions for your domain name. He has given you a couple of excellent suggestions.

I wish you the best,

Alan

Thank you both very much. I think I will go with something like you suggested, Bill, for my domain name.

I'm off to go get set up. I'm sure I'll be back soon.

Thanks again.

Starfire 27,

In advance, a welcome to the PIPs Team.

I joined PIPs just over 30 days ago, so am relatively new myself.

In my case, I was already a member of most of the programs that are a subset of PIPS, so it was an easy decision for me to join PIPs.

However, as Bill has said, you are welcome to join the porgrams as and when you feeel comfortable.

Once you do, you can then change the links in your back office.

In my case, I have chosen to develop my blog, as well as personalise my site (you are encouraged to do this, so they are not all the same) (all part of the 30 day training series you will receive).

In addition, I also have cretaed another resource list on my site, that I am developing, or adding to daily.

Again,l whilst you can do very well, it does take effort, but the resuklts are well worth it.

I have found it is easier to set goals for the short and long term.

Whilst you may not see a great difference in 1 week, you will probably note a considerable difference after, say, 6 months.

All the very best.

Martin

Nice guy Mr. Bill Shultz, giving you names to join under. Shoot I would probably join under him just for the way he handled it! Nothing against anyone on the list.

In reality a sponsor in PIPS is pretty much irrelevant. This forum and the PPG will give you a lot of personal attention. The rest you have to figure out and do on your own.

My sponsor was Stone Evans. I was affiliate #4 back in Jan. of 2003 when the PIPS affiliate program really started, and Stone helped me out some, but for the most part I did it on my own. Internet marketing is a personal business filled with personal success. Support is maybe 20% of it. Maybe even less with all of the great membership training sites to join, social media, social networking etc.

Great advice given already.

You will find nothing but straight up answers here and at the PPG.

Even if you think you have enough money to pour into a business, you still must use a budget. Use all the free programs and save a bunch.

Good Luck and hope to see you around the forum.

Welcome Starfire27!
As you can see, there are plenty of informed and honest people ready and willing to help you get started here in the forum. What I have found and most members will attest to here is that the Plug-In Profit Site will be a great learning process for your PIPS endeavors and any other marketing plans you may have in the future. I would recommend getting familiar with each of the core programs while only paying for what you feel you are comfortable promoting, then as time goes on and you become good at marketing one, add another, then another until you have developed multiple streams of income. Stick to a plan and the rewards will follow!

Are all PIPS sites "work at home" type sites or are there other niches one can promote? Any place to see some examples of successful PIPS sites?

All generic PIPS sites look the same. However, we are encouraged to make changes to them on our own and make them unique. One you can take a look at and is very successful is http://www.24hourwealth.com, which is Jeff Casmer's site.

starfire27, welcome this a great site and there are great folks here. I much prefer this forum to other AM forums.

Some general getting started thoughts. As I do not rep any program, I will say before picking any program system, or whatever, always do thorough due diligence--look at exisiting sites and get site metrics etc. See what you can learn about the content that is offered...Most systems offer content already available.

It appears that PIPs and others programs like wealthy affilaite etc are good starters (good content + only a few critical reviews-can't please everyone) but as you have already read--the program alone will get you nowhere --you have to do the work. You can buy the wood and tools with pretty pictures and a lovely discription of a wonderful house but unless you learn how to build and know what you are doing and do the work... all you'll have is wood and tools.

I would also recommend you try to find a user group in your area. Nothing speeds your learining like one-on-one interaction. We have a group of AM/IM types that enjoy getting together and helping one another.

I commend you on your concern for repping something that you can't feel good about. IMHO take the time to know the product and then sell with conviction and a genuine concern for the werfare of your customers. Lord knows there are enough greedy low lifes in this business already.

Some final notes from another post I made asking a similar question:
1. avoid getting too much on your plate...focus and learn
2. beware of scams praying on folks looking for quick success--most info is already available for free
3. be discplined, know what you want to get done every day and do it
4. keep learning, seek out other AM or IM types to talk to
5. you can start with product from others....work to having your own offering
6. lastly I like a business that has an offline aspect to it as well

Hi stgga,

Great response and insights.

You can buy the wood and tools with pretty pictures and a lovely discription of a wonderful house but unless you learn how to build and know what you are doing and do the work... all you'll have is wood and tools.
Great quote, and I totally agree that any online business is the same way.

You're welcome to check out my site at Work From Home Opportunities | Real Work At Home Jobs | Online Business Opportunities. I have changed it considerably and added a few other programs and products.

Also, this review of PIPS may be of interest... Plug-In Profit Site Review.

There is no PIPS enrollment, as the site setup is free. We earn commissions when people sign up for PIPS and join the programs involved. Your site is completely customizable, and you're welcome to change it if you want. In fact, it's encouraged!

Let us know if you have any more questions.

The products on your site are all from the PIPS vault and you pay a monthly fee to offer these?

Tks
No, the only monthly fee you need to pay is for your web hosting. You can promote Clickbank, PayDotCom, CJ products, CPA ads, etc. on your site. It's completely up to you. PIPS is just a program that promotes five affiliate programs. It's up to you if you want to join them or not. Most require a monthly fee, but it's not necessary. The beauty of adding whatever you want to your site is that you can earn one-time sales with the digital products, and once you start making enough, you can then join and pay for the programs that will help you earn a residual monthly income. Hope that makes sense.

You also learn a lot about internet marketing and how to produce sales. If you're interested just take a look here as it will explain everything to you much better: Complete Making Money System - The Plug-In Profit Site Combines 5 Making Money Programs For Maximum Profit!.
