Hi Gator, No it isn't the same. Your user name/pw would be the one you use to sign into your hosting account to manage your site. Your affiliate ID (would not CHOOSE to make it the same for security reasons) is what you pick when you go to hostgator[dot]com and click on 'Affiliate' (top right side i believe) and sign up as an affiliate for the service. Hope this clears it up for you! Andie |

As Andie mentioned, you have to create a separate affiliate account with them with a completely different ID than the user name you use to login to your CPanel.

Don't forget to update your PIPS account profile with the ID so you won't miss any commissions from your sales page. pluginprofitsite.com/account |

So you have to sign up as an affiliate with host gator? I thought that was done automatically?

No not automatic. You have to sign up as an affiliate and add your ID to your PIPS profile.

Hi Hushy, It wasn't automatically, as affiliate and hosting is a different thing. In PIP sales page, we only sign up for hosting service by Hostgator. After we joined PIP, then we need to be a affiliate with Hostgator in order to earn commission, it is very easy. Go to member's area, account (you will see all your own affiliate links username there if you had joined, then beside hostgator, click join.. ) Hope it helps, Erica |
