I'm currently Internet Explorer, but they don't seem to have a lot of add-ons/plugins for internet marketing use. So the question is: Which platform is better for internet marketing use as far as business apps (add-ons and or plug-ins) 1 - Internet Explorer 2 - Google Chrome 3 - Mozilla Foxfire Also which apps on each are the most useful? I want to get a little more streamlined so as to get more done in less time. Thanks in advance for your comments. |

I haven't used Google Chrome, but I can tell you Firefox beats Internet Explorer hands down. There are numerous internet marketing add-ons/plug-ins available that will definitely save you time. Search Google or go to Mozilla's site to see a list of all the plug-ins available.

Yeah I would stick with FireFox or try the simpler Chrome. You should stay away from IE, its way too vulnerable and unsafe these days. Cheers! |

Yes I agree - IE is a security risk. The only time they find a breach is after a million users fall into it. FireFox is a little too secure and becomes tedious to use (can't even click a link in email without being asked to confirm I want to redirect. ummm yes, if I clicked the link then that would be the plan). Chrome is what I use most - it is super fast to boot up, light weight, etc. |

I use Firefox for years. However, recently I started using Google Chrome. The first thing I noticed is how incredibly fast it is. Another cool thing is that search box and the address bar have been fused into a hybrid "Omnibox", which includes suggestions for URLs culled from your browser's history and search suggestions from your search engine. |

Thanks to all who have responded. Guess I'll look at Chrome a little closer. I haven't heard a whole lot about it. Thanks again too all. I appreciate the input. |

I would say firefox. The graphics are nicer and the there is a lot of widget and themes too. IE is always at security risk. I had not used chrome but many website said that it is fast and lightweight but the cons is it crashes (sometimes). |

Thanks for your input. I played around with Chrome this weekend, and I just couldn't get what I need out of it. Not many useful plug ins for me. I may go back to it later. I know this is relatively new, hopefully they will make it much better over time. And get some more plug ins. |

Just as an aside...if it is of any help in a different way to anyone...I wanted to open a financial charting package. It was very slow on F Fox. Our PC man came along and changed us to IE. It easily took the charting package in its stride. The processor was running at 97% on F Fox--reduced to only a few % on IE. I'm not a techie so can only give you the upshot of it all. Hope it may help...?

Thanks Scott...I'm now using Firefox. I like the plug ins. I may try Chrome again if they do some major upgrades.

Firefox of course, although Chrome is owned by Google, they haven't got Google toolbar for G. Chrome which is useful for me to check the PR of websites.

I haven't heard yet if Google is going to make a tool bar, but at least they are stating to make some plug ins. Maybe later on I will try it again.

A good FF plug-In is SEO Quake, lots of marketing information. It installs a small Icon on the bottom right of the screen. Remeber to shut it off by clicking the Icon when you're not using it. Google doesn't care much for continued use. Another is Niche Watch, gives great stats. Also note, many online users are now using Google Chrome so make sure your site works well with it. |
