There are already 2 respected members Jeff Houdyshell an Suzanne Morrison offering first class services in that respect. So unless you were thinking of doing it for free, I think you would not get many takers. Graham |

Ben I think you may get a lot of takers. You may get a lot of abusers also offering it Free Of Charge. I would be setting some strict ground rules if it were me. That is a very generous offer Bless you sir and good luck Leon |

Yeah Graham I am doing it for FREE. Love for the community.. Because I see there are quite a number of people who do not know how to set up one.. Or struggling to maintain one.. By doing that I would also get to keep the blog community active. Leon: Thanks for that reminder... I should probably lay down some rules before I announce it.. Don't wish to start a thread on that and I am the only viewing it.. thats sad ![]() |

Sounds like a great idea Ben but like Leon said just watch out for the abusers. I think a lot of people for the most part would be very appreciative for this service. Good luck to you, Tim.

Don't drop the idea, better to have one more person who can help out people when they want to have a wordpress blog installed. I got mine installed by Ken Troyer as well. I went to Jeff Houdyshell for help recently as well. Wordpress can be difficult to people at times especially to people who are starting out their IM journey, like me. JTYS |

You have more control over Wordpress and it more "professional" in way. Blogger is for people who do not want to pay for hosting. Since you already have hosting with Host4Profit.. Why not use a Wordpress instead? I can help you out if you want..

Hi Ben, you can call me greedy or anything else,BUT! I would not do something for free without a clear goal of what I will gain in the long term. It is great to give of yourself and to help each other but there always needs to be a business goal in mind and a desired outcome. You can take Stone's 30-day training as an example. He gives a lot of free advice and offers free programs. But, he doesn't drop the ball there. He also offers up many affiliate programs by which he will make a commission. Some people complain about all the stuff you have to pay for in the 30-day training. I have seen many long time PIPs members complain about the stuff and make false claims of Stone. Apparently they either do not understand business or they have their own motivations in mind. The later is usually the case. PIPs is a business first. So, when you offer to do something for free you need to have a plan on how you can profit from it later. But, you also need to understand that profit does not always mean cash in your bank. Not right off anyway. Anything that will build your business you are profiting from. It could be a simple plan to build Page Rank for your site or Blog or to gain backlinks. You should design a complete program. In this case it could start with building free WP blogs but it should be planned so it goes beyond the initial gift and flows freely into other opportunities, things you profit from. I am not trying to be stingy or unwilling to help. What I try to do is make sure business stays business. Being helpful is a big part of business and if done properly can build a strong business. Hi Ben, Here is what I did when I first started my proofreading service. I offered to proofread five people's articles or home page for free. In return I asked for testimonials to put on my site because I am charging for my service. The testimonials build trust. I'm also part of the prizes for the blogging contest. That is one way to get started. I honestly wouldn't proofread for free all the time. Like Stephen said, it's business. The weird thing is I only got two people to take me up on my offer. I'm a little stunned about that. Hmm... there's a note everybody. I still have three slots left! Anyway, Ben, what I would do is look at your long-term goals. What do you want to accomplish down the road by providing this service? Alan |
