Hey Warriors, Need some more suggestions from you guys. Recently my OnlyWire account got blocked because I exceeded the max posts of 300 per month for free. I was using the OnlyWire Submitter to automate the bookmarking process of my blog posts. Now I have no other option than to upgrade to a paid version if I choose to continue with OnlyWire. So I thought it better to ask for some suggestions in this great forum before taking any decision. I am a big fan of making my business automated. The OnlyWire Submitter Software was solving that purpose nicely by posting to all social networking as well as bookmarking sites automatically whenever I make a blog post. And I was having good traffic at the end of the day. So my question is what to do now? Should I upgrade to a paid version of OnlyWire? How does SocialMarker fit in when it comes to making the submission automatic to all bookmarking sites? I saw there is a WP plugin for SocialMarker. But that doesn't solve my purpose, as the plugin only helps you bookmark you blog post from within your blog manually. Any suggestions? What about Bookmarking Demon? I know it's costly, but is the price worth? poohhh.... need to take a decision. Hoping to get some help here. Regards, Aviroop |

Well...having no experience with either, I will say that if you're having success with a free version of something, then imagine what a paid version will net you. Jeremy S. |

Wow man... 300 posts a month? You're staying busy for sure. I also use the OnlyWire plugin to automate this process, but I don't do near that much blog posting, so the free version works just fine. I can tell you that SocialMarker isn't even close to being automated. With that many posts being bookmarked, it would take you a LONG time. If you're happy with OnlyWire and can afford to upgrade, then that would be what I recommend. I have no experience with Bookmarking Demon, so I can't give my opinion on it. |

Hey Alan, it's not 300 blog posts per month It means say 7-8 blog posts per month, then using the Onlywire Submitter to post those on 40 Social Networking and Bookmarking sites. So its 8*40=320 posts per month... and got your free account blocked Yeah, you have to manually create your accounts in those 40 Sites, though... But anyways, I think I'll go for an OnlyWire upgrade now. Thanks all, for your suggestions... Regards, Aviroop |

I don't post to 40... maybe 10 to 15 at the most, so that would explain why I've never had a problem. Let us know how you make out with the upgraded version. | |

Now a lil later, what can you say. How's OnlyWire doing for you? Does it help with just one account per social network, sharing the link? Do you use social bookmarking exchange? |

Hi Aviroop, Thanks for the interesting post, I only have experience with Onlywire and find it very useful. I think I am signed up to around 25 sites and post to my blog once or twice per week which I find is enough for me. You are obviously a bit more productive than myself,LOL so if you feel you can make more use of the pro version then go for it and good luck to you. If you would be good enough to come back here and let us know how you get along with the pro version that would be great because there are a lot of people who use Onlywire basic. regards, Mal. |

Update: Guys, I didn't really shift to the Pro version of Onlywire, coz my account got opened the 1st of next month itself. Cheers! Aviroop |

I realize I am a little late to this thread but if anyone is still monitoring I have a few questions. Social Bookmarking is one of the most time consuming activities I do. #1 Given that we are several months later is OnlyWire still getting results? #2 Can you the WP plugin with a free account? #3 Does the free version do captchas (my guess is no given its extra for pro, but could I hook my own captcha solver in?) |

Anybody else who uses onlywire see a huge failure rate for stumbleUpon. It is my best referral source and it fails almost every time on onlywire. I know the credentials are good because it does work occasionally.

I also have issues with Onlywire. StumbleUpon & Delicious and a few others I've had issues with reliable submissions. I always have to go back and check the history and maybe resubmit, because it's off an on. I'm registered to about 16 of these bookmarking sites, but see very little activity around these posts (on the bookmark sites). I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it? Is it just for the backlinks? Would I have to be active at these bookmark sites...that would be a lot of work! What's been your success rate with submitting to these sites? Let me know...I may ask this in a new thread. Louise |

I use a combination of onlywire and socialmarker. Onlywire is definitely great for being automated, but misses a few sites that I want to post to with seo power. A-1 Webmarks for example. My recommendation is if you can wait until the end of the month (when they reset your 300 posts do that instead, and just post to 30 instead of 40 sites at a time.) Otherwise, pay for it and move on. I would recommend onlywire-you will not regret upgrading your free account to a paid one. By the way always ensure that your submitter is active when posting new content |

I came here to learn more about social bookmarking. I read your topic, and then the replies here. I don't know if this is similar to what I have used in the past, the automated posting to my Facebook profile of NetworkedBlogs.com, every time I have a new blog post. At first, I am happy for the traffic they brings, but as time went by, I realized my reputation in social networks that I belong is getting sour because most of my friends there are not interested in joining an online business. I realized, I am becoming a social network spammer in the eyes of my friends, even though I am not. So, I stopped it. I am planning to let Dustin Canon's Total Content Domination to fill my site with content and manage its SEO, soon.. I have noticed, one strategy he is using is "social bookmarking". And based on what the topic starter have said here, automated posting of blog post to social networks, I am getting a hint that, with TCD, my previous mistake with social networking will be repeated. I need tips/advice from you people here, those who have used Dustin's TCD. If I ask Dustin, I am afraid he will just speak "salestalk" to me. So, I am looking for people who have firsthand experience of it. |

I like onlywire but noticed a high (nearly 100%) failure rate for stumbleupon and it is my best performing bookmark site in terms of actually generating traffic. has anyone else experienced this. I have went back to posting stumbleupon manually from the toolbar . If not for this it would be great. Are there any Wordpress plugins that do this reliably? it does not seem that this should need a subscription type service. |

Could someone answer a question in regard to the 'juice' provided by these services? My understanding is that with these type of social networking autosubmissions, they are only as 'juicy' as the number of people who actually subscribe. In other words, without subscribers, you can post as many times as you like on as many social networking sites as you like without actually affecting rank. Care to comment anyone? |

This is my current (I'm trying to improve it cotinously) automatic bookmarking system: I combine RSS feeds of my sites with Yahoo Pipes. Then I use resultant feed with Ping.fm to submit every update to several social networks and bookmarking sites. In addition, I use Onlywire (with same feed) to submit updates to sites not supported in Ping.fm (Digg, Reddit, etc). |

I heard that onlywire will automatically convert all free users to free trial of onlywire pro on 1st Dec. I'm looking for alternative. What do you think about Hellotxt? Is it good?

You can cut out intermediaries services like Onlywire that limit you and use an automation tool like WEB 2.0 Controller. |

I would for sure have to say onlywire, Social Marker is not automated & is limited to about 20 services, onlywire = 42 services & automated, however it seems they have changes their plans from the initial 300 per month.

Onlywire and sendible are best in my opinion. But they should be used with a third party service like syndicationmasters so you can get shares from other onlywire members, I don't really see what the point is in updating your profiles unless you have followers. The point of all that is to get other people to share your links, not just you updating your own profiles, those aren't really shares.
