Hi all! I finally got my "real" blog set up and changed the URL in my signature to it instead of the Blogger one. It has taken me longer than I hoped to get it set up because I've been packing like mad for a move next week, but I finally got it set up and will now be posting on a regular basis, starting with probably transferring some posts from my other blog and posting some of my edited PLR articles up there. Feel free to take a look at it. It's not much now, but it'll get there. I'm going to post a link to it on my home page as well I think. Eventually, I am going to completely and utterly revamp my home page, but that's another story.

Anyway, just figured I'd post. I am learning slowly but surely, and applying what I learn as I go.

I'd also like to thank everyone who's helped me along the way.

I'm not going to name all the names, but there have been several people here who have helped me out. Thanks a bunch! I really appreciate it!

Hi, I saw your blog. It is really new. If you would like your previous posts in blogger to be posted in your new blog as well, you can just import the blog posts from blogger.

Nice work. It looks better than my blog. Hope you can get it better as you want it to be.

I thought about importing the posts, but I need to modify some of them slightly to fit with the new blog, so I am going to add them manually.

zhuuraan, I don't mind if you "share" who helped you with your blog in fact some of them may appreciate that you do.

You can copy the old blogger posts and paste them into new posts using the WordPress HTML editor on the new WordPress blog. Don't paste them into the visual editor. Or you can actually import them... In the WP dashboard click Tools, Import, choose Blogger and bring them in.

Well, as you can tell, Jeff was the one to set up my blog and he did a wonderful job. Most of what's on there was from him setting it up for me.

Like I said though, I will probably forego importing the posts because some of them will need a little modification. I will try to get one or two more up there before I move, but I'll probably have to go several days without posting. Luckily though, it is still new so the lapse shouldn't be as big a deal. I'll get plugging at it when I am settled in again.

Thanks Cynthia. I'll make a post once I have it finished. I'm still learning HTML though so it'll be slow going. I know it pretty well, but I still have to look back at examples for reference fairly often, and of course then there's the trial and error too.

I plan to eventually make my own image for my newsletter image and all sorts of stuff.

I feel pretty good about where I am at the moment and I can't wait to get even farther!

Learning html is a process but something you will never regret.

I'm not sure if you have come across the w3schools html editor where you can play around with the html without any fear of messing anything up - I found this really useful when I started learning to change my site.

Yeah, W3Schools is where I am learning all of my stuff. I think it's great because it's all self paced and you can play with it. It's kind of fun playing with the editor, lol

Ah yes, HTML! ... just the reason why I LOVE WordPress and am having my brand new PIPS site converted to it as we speak: no HTML required! The only problem is, blogs are like big hungry plants-- once you get one, you have to keep feeding it or else it just shrivels up and withers away... Yours looks fantastic BTW-- congrats on a job well done!

Yick! I will NEVER have a WordPress powered site. The blog is fine but the site, um no.

I am visually impaired, so I can't see to mess with a lot of the things they give you without knowing HTML. Besides, if you know the code you can use as little code as is necessary to edit your site, whereas with anything that edits it for you, there's LOADS of excess code.

But for me, learning the code isn't that hard and I feel I will have more control over the appearance of my site with it. I can see a little, but not enough to play with site editors with no HTML knowledge required.

Besides, I figure I'm taking the time to learn, might as well put the skills I pick up to use.

I am also in the process of working on a personal website, which is in my signature. It's not very much yet, but I intend to expand upon it. So far everything I have up was all hand written. Every line of code is my own work, not that of an editor.

That site is nearly devoid of images save the logo though because most of my friends are visually impaired or totally blind, so images are useless to them. The only page on my site taht'll have images will be my crafts page where I will eventually sell the crafts I do in my spare time. I may eventually also add a page of my affiliate products on my personal page.

I am not comfortable with warm marketing, but I figure if I put a page for it on my personal site, my friends can visit it if they feel so inclined.

Anyway I can't wait to get a few more posts up there, but for now I'm dog tired from packing and running around with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law and my mom and fiance. I gotta hit the hay relatively early so I can get up early, have a decent breakfast, finish the last little bit of packing, and load up the moving truck.

Then I'll be at my mom's for 4 days on my laptop, where I won't have access to my articles, so I won't be able to post on my blog from there unless I come up with a post while there. Then Wednesday, we fly out to Utah and get settled in.

Needless to say, I've been exhausted the past few days and I'll be exhausted even more over the next week.
