I'm wondering if anybody else here has any dealings with Empower Investment Group, not to be confused with the Empower Network. They are a social media marketing firm and sounds like they are very effective, but I'm not speaking from experience quite yet. Thoughts? |

I am familiar with Empower Investment Group... Very impressed so far!! I signed up for their coaching package and have been working with a trainer on how to use EBay, Facebook and Twitter to promote my online business. Initially I was skeptical because of the bad press associated with Empower Network (this is NOT the same company!!) but this company is legit and their services are great. I'll post another update after I take my online webinar course! |

Empower Network is a legitimate and profitable program - "bad press" or not.

I'd like to follow up about the Empower Investment Group. So far they have scammed me huge! I'm extremely embarrassed to admin that I've been scammed, but I'd like to protect as many victims as possible. Stay FAR away from these people. They first of all claimed to be from a totally different company that I do business with and there is absolutely NO connection between them, so that is red flag number one. I don't even know where to stop because there have been so many issues. I'm trying to get a refund, but I have a feeling I'll be heading to the BBB next!

This is an update to my earlier post. Since my last entry, I have finished my online classes and weeks of coaching and I think it has really paid off. My website is generating a ton more revenue from utilizing the social media outlets and I feel a lot more confident using these sites. I'm surprised to hear the references to a scam...Carla, are you sure you have the right company?? I've had nothing but a positive experience with these folks and their services are great! I would highly recommend Empower Investment Group!! |

Hi Savvy Granny and carlamae, I too am interested in EIG. They called today. I am totally new to affiliated marketing but have wanted to get involved for a while and this looked like a simple way to ease into it. Of course I am interested in the company's validity. Carlamae, I am curious what your poor dealings were and if you are sure it was not w/ Empower Network. Savvy Granny, do you think this program would still be good for a beginner? I do have concerns as Scam Adviser indicates that the website for EIG is new, schedule for a short expectancy (whatever that means but it doesn't sound good), and is based in the Netherlands vs. the US. Scam Adviser also lists a complaint of an elderly man that was "taken" for 9K+ . In addition, I find very little information about this company. BBB has them but no rating and a couple of complaints. No other reviews seem to be out there. Any thoughts, updates? |

Patricia- I would first like to say that Empower Investment Group is also a legitimate business as well. To me it looks like they are a recent start up company. That's about all the info I know about them from research. carlamae- I just received a phone call from the company Empower Investment Group. This being said I did some research before I purchased with them, and what I found out was that they are a new company based out of Phoenix. And that's about it, no bad press really online or offline for that matter. I did end up buying a package from them, and they gave me a very informative website and an online education program that teaches me everything about the internet and how to utilize eBay, and social media with an eCommerce website to make money online. Sorry you had a bad experience though, but before you go around yelling about a company scamming you online you should give their programs a good faith effort. I did. neweagle- I think the business or programs/websites etc are for everyone. I have been dealing with online businesses for over 10 years now, and at first I didn't make tremendous profits like all these TV commercials would say, but over time I learned how to, and now have over 10 website businesses. Be careful about websites like scam advisory, many times they are owned by companies who try to blackmale companies into paying fees to remove negative press. It's a whole new way of online reputation management. I always leave my final decision up to how the company responds to me and the quality of the programs they put me into. Since I've signed up I have been placed in a EDU program, and that's definitely not a scam by any means, or a rip off, rip-off, however you say or spell it. By the end of it I will have a profitable business and a degree to match it. SavyGranny- you should look into the new Edu program they have, really good accredited program based out of Utah, even though Empower Investment Group is based out of Phoenix. Don't believe all the online hype about scams, being taken advantage of etc... Many of these people don't even know how to run an online business and then they get placed into a program they should've never bought in the first place. They are just compulsive spenders, and get upset when they actually have to work at a business. Any more questions let me know and we can talk. |

@Sunnybeehive. Can't help but notice you are a new user with 1 post only. Your glowing report is about as suspicious posts get on this forum. Not one post after joining and none before your glowing report. My educated guess is that because Carlamae has been here four years and has established a little reputation in that time frame -- therefore my guess is that Carlamae is probably quite qualified to know whether she's been ripped off or not. My other guess is that you, Sunnybeehive, created your account for the purpose of posting something nice about a company that is probably ripping people off. |

Be VERY careful of EMPOWER INVESTMENT GROUP located in Arizona. I spoke with Kassy first, she seemed nice, she took my info and said she'd call me back within 15-20 minutes to proceed to the next step, 2 hours later still no call back. I had to call her. When I reached her she informed me that no decision had come back yet, I was thinking for what(?). The following day I was contact by Robert, he had some additional questions for me and tried to sell me the program right away however I had several questions, he did a fairly good job answering them but was getting annoyed and tried to push me through the process (JUST TRYING TO MAKE ANOTHER SALE). I felt a little uneasy about the whole thing considering I really didn't have the money to purchase the program. I let Robert know my concerns and he assured me that I would be able to obtain a refund if I was unhappy in any way. Furthermore he (Robert) assured me that my purchase would come with an up and running e-commerce site that would generate a small income to help offset the initial investment plus the monthly fee. I took a leap of faith......the EMPOWER INVESTMENT GROUP emailed me a contract which stated that I need to sign and return the form via email before any further action could be taken. Next, I received a notification (from my bank) that my account had a pending withdraw from the EMPOWER INVESTMENT GROUP while I was still reviewing the contract. I called them back with my concerns of the earl withdraw and the three (3) day refund policy but Robert was out for the day (how convenient), some guy named Ben took my call and assured me that if I was unhappy (for any reason) they would get me a refund even outside of the three (3) day refund period. He said "we rather get you your money back then get catch a bad rap for not refunding your money". So I'm here to tell you they don't honor there word and refuse to refund me. Now I'm out $100, Robert won't take or return my calls. Error on the side of caution, if you think you're getting a good deal run! I should have! I see some people have mixed EMPOWER INVESTMENT GROUP with another company. EMPOWER INVESTMENT GROUP is based out of Arizona the contact number they call from is from Seattle, that should have been a another RED FLAG, (206) 861-6454. If any of these names or information sound or look similar RUN DON'T WALK AWAY!! |

It's been a long time, but I did end up going to the BBB and they opened a file and we sent information back and forth and absolutely nothing came of it...I'm out $5k! This was definitely a scam and I can't post a website because every time I asked for one, I got a different answer, plus the guy I originally talked to became impossible to reach and never called me back. No question in my mind....big trouble! They claimed to be a company that I had a website hosted with and that turned out to be false! Liars right from the start and yes, I do know what I'm talking about on this. |
