It helps, but not necessary. I can only speak for the US as this is my experience.

You want to tell the networks you do PPC/banner ads, etc..

i wouldnt do it, unless you had a spare bank account for wire transfers.

i worked with a company (in US) that did transactions with Nigeria and they always used the same account for the wire...
