They are the trail blazers for our industry. A lot of what we do is like leeching off their success (using Facebook for teespring for example) but I believe most IM's when they get to a certain level...

The jump from C# for desktop apps to web based applications using ASP.NET is not that bad but there is a learning curve. So in a sense yes, depending on how well you know C# you will have no problems...
