I would invest it in ezine advertising in low cost ezines geared towards my niche in an effort to build a list. I would then monetize the list and reinvest the profits into more niche targeted ezines...

Transfer the domain over to them. Give them FTP access and tell them they have 10 days to transfer this themselves! Otherwise Just move everything over to the new host including files and database.

That's exactly what you need to be doing... Set up a simple sales funnel before you start throwing traffic at your squeeze page. Then you can concentrate on tracking and testing your squeeze page...
