Jquerymobile Framework for Mobile Web Sites

I have been asked by a lot of warrior members to share code for creating a mobile web site that includes a contact form.

So I spent the afternoon finishing off a project around Christmas as a theme for any business that wants to spruce up their mobile web site for the upcoming holiday season.

This is also a real untapped market and one I feel confident enough could be used as a lost leader to get a local business on board. No one likes missing out on having a Christmas theme in store, on television, in a magazines or their local newspaper.

If Jonesey has one then they want one as they do not want to miss out or be left out.

So giving them a way of doing so online is a real smart move for the ones that can see the benefit of using any holiday season or special occasion as the draw card.

Now because I am a programmer and IM'er I wanted to be able to drop any logo design and theme into the templates I designed and automatically have a new site design ready.

Let me show you what I mean. I coded these pages once and then switched out the logo, icons and theme to have a totally new web site designed.

The images shown below are the actual PC web sites. So this is what you would see by going to the web site. And the iPhone images further down show the exact same web site being rendered and viewed on any smartphone without needing a redirect script.

Using the default theme. Creating my own theme.

Using the default theme. Creating my own theme.

The above is just 4 of the 34 different Christmas themed mobile web sites I created simply by switching out the logo, changing the icons and the color theme.

Each web site has coded pages for:
  1. Index page. [a little obvious that this would be required. lol]
  2. Tap to call button is built into the jquerymobile framework. You can add your own customized Tap-to-Call button.
  3. Contact Page with contact_mailer.php
  4. Location page
  5. Hours page
  6. Products page
  7. Coupon page
  8. Gallery page
  9. Booking page with booking_mailer.php
  10. Testimonial page
  11. Optin page
  12. Terms Policy Page
  13. Privacy Policy page
  14. About Us page
  15. Video page [not shown but you can add it if you wish.]
  16. Services page [not shown but you can add it if you wish.]
Social Media links
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Linkedin
  • YouTube
You do not need to use all the pages for your clients but they are there if needed and required.

If you can use Notepad ++ and copy-n-paste; you can do almost anything with these templates. Each page has the section well documented where you need to add your clients text.

For those that will ask... YES each page is coded as a separate page and NOT part of a multipage.

So all the hard coding and programming has been done.

The images below show my Restaurant Template which again can be very quickly adapted to any food industry by switching out the logo and creating a new color them

More on this later today. As I will be making some of what you see here available.
But for now I must get some shut eye as it is 4:04am here.

Enjoy and don't be afraid to ask questions. If I can answer them and or help you with design and code just let me know.

    That looks great Ron.

How easy are they to modify. Like what do I need to add my own information.

      Hey Quentin

Nice to see you in these neck of the woods. LOL

      The templates are coded in html5 and css3 so if you can copy and replace text with your text you are good to go. I have included the tags like the following for ease of search and replace: {title}

I will be making some of the templates and source code available in a video tutorial I am completing sometime later today [NZ. my time]

I will post when I have it ready for viewing

They look good Ron! And I hadn't thought of using the Holidays as a way to get clients for Mobile. Makes a nice bonus or additional service for client retention as well.

Dumb question here but do we just get the codes from the link in your signature?

      Hi Jay

No question is dumb, you can but I wouldn't advise it as I do some crazy thinhgs that could put a newbie off. LOL

I have a Free tutorial coming out with more code than you can shake a stick at to accomplish all sorts of page requirements.

I will release this later today, just need to make a few amendments as jquerymobile framework has been updated.

I know it is early days with the poll. But I am not surprised to see "Don't understand how to use it." as the main reason to date.

Hopefully my tutorial, templates and code will make it real simple for anyone to start using.

Trying to multitask is a real nightmare especially when your computer start moaning about being over worked! LOL

I am trying to upload the videos to you tube, tweak the templates a little more to make them even easier to use and finish coding my mobile autoresponder.

I haven't yet cloned myself. lol but that is on the cards real soon.

Hey Ron, I also have subscribed so I know what is going on in this thread. Your method may be just what the doctor ordered. Too many of the builders are all focused on single pages loaded with javascript, etc. This looks more like what I am used to.

Looking forward to the vids, keep up the good work.

          Thanks,
          Darren

Hi Ron, I am full time seo consulting. In the mobile area I am a customer of Mobile Crusher, Quentin & Will's. Just getting ready to add mobile to the offerings. I expect to sign on my first few mobile clients by this time next week, so I am looking at what else is available that I can provide top quality mobile sites that people will be thrilled with & talk about.
    Will be in touch
