begginer needs help with social bookmarking

Hey everyone, I'm a beginner marketer setting up my first site following Google sniper, and it's doing really well and ranking on the first page already, but I got to the part where I need to do the social bookmarking on it and the guide tells me to use socialmarker.com, which I see is not running normally, so if can't outsource it, how can I do it myself in the best way so that I can add my affiliate links already? And also I have a problem because the post ranking on Google is the first post by itself and not the home page, so what can I do to make sure the home page (which is cataloged on Google or whatever) rankes above all the other posts on the search engines? Could it come up by itself? (I only pinged it for the first time yesterday and this morning I figured out I got the all in one seo pack configured wrong and fixed it and a couple hours later the first post got ranked third place on the organic results)
I need some tips guys I don't know what to do now

    If social marker isn't working properly, use onlywire or social adr. It's worth noting though that social bookmarking is a waste of time. All you'll get is a bunch of useless nofollow links.

    Stop pinging your site. That's an outdated way of notifying Google of your new url.

    If your homepage isn't ranking for your keywords, you need to build links to it. Are you sure your post is ranking on the first page? Use a rank checker or search for your keyword in Google after clearing your cookies and cache.

    Use OnlyWire... Instead of a ping to Google, post your website in Social Media sites (like Facebook, Twitter), they work like a charm when talking about indexing... but do NOT spam!

      you were right, even without clearing the cookies it just disappeared from the first page and a rank checker show the first post, not the homepage, to be number 38 (i ******* hate google for shit like that), but when i search for the keyword with quotes, the first post IS really ranked second place on the first page. EDIT: scratch that, i'm a dipshit, it's actually ranking number 10 on google with the quotes, that's after clearing all history from last week and checking on firefox and my phone, so.. number 10... and still not the homepage
      so what's a good way to get good backlinks that actually bump my home page up? and why am i on the first page with quotes but nowhere to be seen on the organic results?

      What does it mean to post my site on social media? i added the digg digg plugin to integrate like twitter and facebook likes and stumbleupon and tumblr and all that, didn't that do it? do i need to like go and set up a facebook page for the website? and does it help with ranking? cause it's already indexed on google, when i search for the domain address the home page does come up, but god only knows what rank it's at..

    Social bookmarking is not what you want because its just updating your profiles. Social signals are gained when you have other people share your content.

    I think what you are looking for is a service that will allow other people to share your content. I believe this is the future of SEO. What better way to tell Google you are important than having other people share your content?
