Any site with good contents and many backlinks from high PR sites could be ranked high on search engines.

    That thing is awful.

Sometimes it is difficult for people to figure out if an SEO company is good or not.

Other times companies smack you over the head with their incompetence and make it pretty damn clear.

I can see it now, negative SEO infographics being sold on fiverr.

      Good luck with rep management.

Anyone can get rank with high quality content and backlink. It is not so tough to get ranked on Google. I am not sure but maybe this could happen on SEO in 2015.

I believe the ground will remain unchanged next year, because good and original informative content (to site's visitors) plus quality back links will always do the
job to rank a site well in G.. how to keep that running well is what SEO is all about, just a humble opinion from a newbie

I love this graphic, awesome design. I'm surprised people are hating it?

Just looking at their site, I am going to outsource all of my design work to them!!!

I really need some of that knowledge graph expansion.

Everything in that image is already being factored into the ranking algorithm, so nothing new. Besides, I would expect bloggers to wait until 2015 before making any predictions, although that would defeat the purpose of the predictions.

The only thing I see changing is ranking difficulty for new sites on new domains. It will likely continue to be difficult to rank new sites as Google continues their war against blackhat SEO techniques. Also, it's worth mentioning that exploits will continue to exist and blackhat SEOs will keep taking advantage of them.

Yeah, we're basically at mercy of whatever the Google team decides to do. They meet regularly and discuss ideas and implement, and what goes on behind close doors is only something we can imagine.

You'll never have the "perfect" strategy. But I think it's safe to say social media presence is starting to play a MUCH larger role in SERP rankings. My two cents.

    Cheers,

Why do webmasters act like each year Google throws their algo away and starts again?

Google modifies and adds to what already works, used to be all about high PR backlinks with exact match anchor text.

Today backlinks are still important as is anchor text, but there are more metrics that are also important. This will be true in 2015, most likely with further modifications. Links will still be important, anchor text important, content important...

IMO I think speed/usability will take a bigger role, that doesn't mean I think speed/usability will be the main ranking factor, just more important than a year earlier.

All we really know is Google makes changes, some metrics will have more relevance, others less, but it's highly unlikely the algo will change dramatically: we aren't going to check SERP on January 1st 2015 and find backlinks have no value for example.

Thanks for sharing. This is quite informative and really useful. Companies should really invest in QUALITY in everything. Social Media dominance should also be given emphasis. Timeline posts and updates should also be of quality and bring interest to followers.

Quality is still the name of the game in SEO by 2015 but we cannot be sure of what strategies or techniques that will matter most in 2015. The only way you to be sure that your website will not be left left behind is to implement different SEO strategies and online marketing techniques, just as long as they follow Google guidelines.

SEO is very dynamic and what we can do is to be prepared for a back up plan if ever one strategy doesn't work anymore.

QUALITY is the name of the game. Whenever it's in the articles, social media posts, images. Everything should be of great quality and must have an appealing value to the audience.

SEO in 2015 will be the same as it is in 2014. Just make a better move to get on top. No one is an astrologer to predict that too early. Even Google don't know what will happens in coming year. So how could you?
