Temporary re-direct whole site to one page

I am trying to figure out how to safely re-direct a whole site to one page (let's call it page B) for a couple weeks. Page B would have an optin form along with a link that would allow the user to continue to whatever page they were trying to navigate to.

I'm also planning to add a cookie on Page B so that once a user has visited the page once, they won't be re-directed there again and will be able to browse the site as they normally would.

My concern is that google bots won't be able to navigate this and the site may get slapped.

I've looked into using a 302, but I'm not sure if that's appropriate or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    A 302 signals temporary, and that should help.

    If you yourself are adding cookies and the like you should
    also be able to allow the googlebots a free pass, and
    anyone or anything else will get redirected.

    There are many other better ways, like giving so many pages
    for free without signing up.

    Those are all relatively easy for anyone that knows even half
    of what they are doing.

    But if it's only for a few days, why not just do a popup like
    they do on the WF now? Even the WF gives almost all away
    for free, no sign up.

    If you use a content locker all the old pages/URLs won't change (still indexed/cached), though I would leave at least a little teaser content on the page for traffic/Google. That scenario would be better If it was setup before ranking a page rather than removing content (locked content) on existing ranked pages.

    I know of a few PBS sites that do this & it's all very professional looking, no cheesy CPA social lockers.
