Hi

I would like to do some link building for a spanish website.
Is it possible to get english BL and improve SEO?

Hi Princess-o!

It's a little bit weird to talk to another Spanish in English, hehehe.
If your content is in English, you can rank for Keywords in English, otherwise it will be close to impossible or too expensive.

No reason for doing this at all... You need ONLY spanish visitors if the website is in spanish, so I would suggest build only local backlinks in your language!

English links would work too, although Spanish backlinks (links within content written in Spanish) would probably be more effective, depending on certain factors of course.

Commenting can be the 1st thing you can do to get quality backlink.

looks you can read in English. So, just visit any keywordluv or commentluv enable blog and leave your comment there.

You can do some localized keyword SEO. Just figure out what keywords you want to rank for in Spanish and write content for those keywords.

The only issue I potentially see is, a lot of the words in Spanish are direct translations of English. You'll have to be very selective of the keywords to avoid this.

Hmm, you need spanish visitors, so it would be good to target your local user's and visitors, use spanish language and select Spanish sites only, this process can be tough and costly. You can also hire an SEO service for the same, who can provide you local traffic to your website.

Nope I don't think that would be a god idea because what people will think while clicking the link is it would be an english site and what you are giving then a spanish site soon your bounce rate will reach upto 100% and you will start asking question, like what to do in order to decrease your bounce rate ! So, from my side its a bad idea to move forward with ! Rest for the decision part I'll leave it over to you !

  Just my two bob's worth and this is an idea only as i have never tried it so others please shoot me down if its a stupid idea.
  
  Lets say that for link building purposess and also for interested English visitors that the site was built with duplicate pages in each language any one clicking on an english link would araive at the english version and all the english pages could be linked for navigation.
  any one coming in on a spanish link would land on the spanish version and linked pages and both pages could have a link button in the top of the page to redirect visitors to the relevant language page. Iff all of the links were coming from good relevant sources they should in theory give more page rank to the overall site.
  
  -- im not sure if google would count it as duplicate pages as it would be in a differant language or if google might count the spanish language pages as non relevant to the english pages .even if you translate a difrant language with google tools the content gets changed in the translation....Any thoughts if this would work or has been tried before?

  Just to ad a little more all of the links between the two languages could be made no follow so a search engine coing througha spanish link could only crawl the spanish version and a spider coming through an english link could only ccrawl the english version would this work ? --disregarding all the time it would take to create the extra language pages and the extra page linking and costs.

Yes it is possible to market your website on the Spanish websites.The only thing you have to make the a different strategy as compared to regular strategy.
