yes i got it. you mean putting your website like on others site. Is this done to get traffic or to improve alexa ranking or this helps in improve google search results.

Off-page/off-site SEO is doing SEO outside your website. Here is some technique I use:
1-blog submission, article submission, PR web submission, Video submission, MP3 submission....
2-comment on other blog in your niche to create backlink to your website, do-follow link is better than no-follow links, just search google to understand this "Link Building"
3-social marketing, create group, page, post your article there to help your site index fast
4-PDF site, submit you article in PDF format with backlink to your website
5-question and answer website like Yahoo ask... You recomment your website after answer those questions
6-link baiting, if your post in your website is awesome, some bloggers will link to your post from their reference links
7- forum marketing, put your website in the signature section, share cool content to the community

Off site SEO basically means promoting your website, online, so it can rank better.

Now, the 3 main techniques are: link building, using social media and social bookmarking.

In order to build links, you would need to comment on various blogs (leaving your link), put your link in forum signatures, do some guest posting.. there are many so ways to build links!

The use of social media: well, this basically means trying to become popular and get as many followers as possible.

And social bookmarking basically means using websites like reddit, stumbleupon and others to promote yourself.

Many have written about backlinks so i guess you know what they are now. Note that you don't need millions of them as before, just a few, quality, relevant ones can it for you.
For off page optimization, you have to build authority around yourself, business or brand.
Let there be a vibe around you.

- Have multiple good reviews (BBB, Wiki, Forums, Blogs, G+. Yelp, Zagat, etc)
- Have multiple engagements (Shares on google+, number of circles, relationship with author authors, comments, +1s)
- Have some potential viral content

Content that gets shared:
1. Funny = Hilarious
2. Controversial = be that person
3. Emotion provoking = be sappy
4. Useful/Interesting = Knowledge source
5. Popular = For groups to amplify you

All these activities builds backlinks to your site and places you as an expert in the eyes of google.
Combining this with onsite SEO techniques (which i have not mentioned here because you already know) will certainly place you on the first page of the search results.

Use blog comments forum posting articles submission blogs posting social bookmarking ppt and pdf files sharing for building your links. Now let me share how you can do all of these things to get your website ranked.

Just focus on quality not quantity.

How you measure quality ? simple. Just see the domain authority DA page authority PA and Page rank of a website. If DA and PA are greater than 30 and PR is also above 2 then go for that website.

How to comment on blogs.

go to google and type this "Your Keywords" “Notify me of follow-up comments” in keywords use your keywords and you will get blogs related to your keywords. Start selecting high DA PA blogs and comment wisely. You will get links this way.

Forums:
use this in google

your keywords "forums"

for social bookmarks and other link building tactics, you can easily get lists and websites to share your content and website. Just do not spam with poor quality content and improper placement of your website.

I understand that you need to learn off-site SEO. To cut the long story short, before you do that, you make sure that your content is high quality, unique and can give value to the audience. Second, limit your number of ads on your website to lessen the distraction. Third, it's better that for every content that you publish, you need to add at least one related video (or your own) in order for the visitor to stay longer on your website and may increase some authority.

There are so many off-site SEO methods out there, but the most effective ones are high PR EDU and GOV sites, Web 2.0 properties, press releases and social media engagement in fan pages, groups, etc. Don't aim for low quality backlinks, aim for the high quality and valuable ones. link with effective anchor text e.g. don't use "Click here" instead use a niche topic like "yachts"
Be consistent on making backlinks, do this monthly-(check your site's backlinks using ahrefs.com)

My first suggestion would be to find all your "natural" link sources. Employees, friends, partners, industry associations, etc.

Analyzing your competition is an important step. You might not be able to repeat their best links because coming from the kind of sites that are on the list above, but at least you'd learn something.

If you can produce really good content, promoting it and maybe even asking for links might work for you. It should be obvious that this is actually fairly hard.

Wether or not industry directories, quest blogging and some sort of content posting to external sites works depends on the niche and what's available to you. Obviously I'm not talking about generic spammy directories or sites that take any article. The same goes for "web 2.0" blogs aka external web properties that you control. Just remember that the new sites don't carry link juice unless you built it.

PBNs are a method if you happen to be an advanced SEO. If you're not, you could try to find a link vendor. It's agains TOS, so [insert obvious disclaimer].

I'm pretty certain I'm forgetting something obvious, because it's 6 AM and I'm not awake yet.

Group Creation:

Create a group that relevant to our niche and share useful content posts in your group it will gains you more traffic to your site and you are the admin of your own group so no need of removal or deletion. (for ex: facebook and G+)

RSS Feed Submission:

Create Rss feed xml and submit in High PR Rss feed submission sites. it will gain you backlinks

RSS - Kind of search engines + content discovering systems. Once there is a new article from your blog/site, it is instantly included in their indexed posts. They display your content in their list of latest published webs in their system.

RSS directory sites are treated of high value by search engines crawlers. Once a new content is displayed on such RSS sites it is pretty sure that search engines will include these posts in their crawling database. So this increases indexing of your site.

You can search in google for "rss feed submission sites list"

So it's actually social media marketing to some kind of audience, and has nothing to do with SEO. At best in this context it's some kind of link outreach.

This kind of advice only works in certain situations. I know a company that sells firefighter-related "fan products" who've really worked Facebook to their advance. On the other hand, a generic B2B IT company would likely have much less success.

Well, kinda. But "high PR" is only the front page of that service, and I very much doubt they keep linking to your individual feed from their top pages. If it gets to the front page, it's unlikely that it's stays there long enough for Google to even notice it.

Are these backlinks really even worth the trouble?

Actually it was social media concept to get traffic for the website and it will works for some situations not for all websites according to the website and its service it will change.

it's nothing about PR in front page. its about the website quality. when your submitting your RSS Feed you can easily check whether your website feed is active or not. it will automatically update whenever you post a new blog post in your site. it really works for all search engines not only for google.

These backlinks really effective you just try and see the result.

High PR was your claim, so if it's not the front page, what do you mean by it? Sites do not have Pagerank. Quality is such a fuzzy word that it doesn't really mean anything in this discussion, and RSS service working the way it's intended isn't evidence about anything else.

Yes, it's one time process to submit your site. If you do submit it again and again, that's your problem. Google already knows where your site is so submitting again is unnecessary. If you want Google to know about your new content give them a xml sitemap.

Again, fast indexing is almost completely irrelevant when it comes to the big picture. So are regular content updates. You should be interested if your pages rank for anything relevant.

ya it will takes more time to build links if we do few no. of links in a day. One of my colleague site is affected due to over optimization and i don't suggest of approaching of spam i told don't make it as spam make it organic. you got it !!!

Build some quality links pointing to your website to improve the keywords ranking in search engine. Off page activities are very important for any website to get ranked in search engine. Only on page activities can't help your website in ranking.

You can try building backlinks to your website through PBN (private blog network), guest posting, blog comment etc.

Well, it is very essential to do On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO, both are crucial to do to increase the visibility of the site. It is very good you already know On-page SEO, creating back-links is not a big deal.
