Article titles for my blog...

Hello All,

I have recently started writing a blog and would like a little input as it pertains to my individual article titles. Each article I write will have a main keyword (well researched and believed to be easy to rank) and several secondary long tail keywords. Can the title of the article be the main keyword or does it have to be different but contain the main keyword?

Lets say for this example that the main keyword for my article is "Duck Hunting in Texas". Can the title of my article be "Duck Hunting in Texas" or does it need to be different but containing the keyword like "Things you need to consider when duck hunting in Texas"?

    It is also suggested by Moz and from many SEO Experts. It is an essential part to use the keyword within title.

    Here are following ways how to use:
    So if your main keyword is: Duck Hunting in Texas, you can have the same title or you can have this kind of title: Something about Duck Hunting in Texas.

    Here is something to make sure.

    It is good to have keyword in title and not only that; you have to try to add keyword in the beginning of title instead of using between or at the end of title.

    Here is how:
    Duck Hunting in Texas Tips
    Duck Hunting in Texas Overview

    If you want to use Duck Hunting in Texas as your title and keyword, that is also fine.

    Another thing you can do is to add an image in your article (if you have) and use the same keyword in Image Alt.

      Agree with you.. Just to add, it's also recommended to use the keyword at least twice in your article as otherwise it won't help you (the title!)

    When doing titles for SEO it's important to have a title that gets people attention since CTR has become a ranking factor.

    But yeah it can be different for sure.

    Use keywords in title butt not so many keywords. You better make the title text more readable. Also, insert keywords in h1, h2, img alt tags, meta data and so on...

    I would suggest to use keyword in the title but make it reader-friendly. For me, as a person, "Duck hunting in Texas" is a bit too vague. However, "Things to consider for duck hunting in Texas" or something like that would grab my attention.

    So many SEO people write for search engine and they do forget that while SEO is good for traffic and all, search engines will not make them money by coming to their sites. It's people and readers that will buy from you.

    It is always a good choice to use Keyword in Title..But to get user attention , Title has to be interesting which increases user's enthusiasm..

    I very much agree with mzonas, you need to think about your readers first, so make it catchy and informative, but do use your keyword in it as well, in part for SEO reasons, but this also helps the reader know exactly what your article is about.

    Do what makes the most sense from a reader standpoint as this will help your CTR in Google. Yes, you should add your keyword in the article title. Obviously a title like: Best Duck Hunting In Texas is better than Duck Hunting In Texas.
