I also use Google keyword planner because it gives more exact keywords.

I like Keyword Researcher - I've been using it for several years now. I think it's similar to Long Tail Pro. I think both basically work off the Google autosuggest tool.

On the downside too many people are using these tools so everyone is writing articles based around these suggestions...

No one here mentioned a tool called Spyfu. I believe it's a right tool for seeking for some nice keywords. Find your competitors and then analyse them just to know their sucess.
