Do PBN links help rank on google maps?

I have been providing seo services for local businesses since google maps first popped up about 7 years ago.

i have had great success doing the old tried and true....optimizing the google plus pagej etc...etc....and of course manually creating directory listings to build citations.

lately i have been noticing that these methods are not as effective and they once were......the competition is getting pretty fierce especially since google cut the maps listings down to only a 3 pac.

i have been reading about web 2.0 properties and while i haven't fully grasped the concept it appears that links from pbn's are pretty powerful for driving a site.

i am more concerned with ranking on the maps though so i am wondering if anyone here has had experience with this method and its' effectiveness as far as maps seo?

since i am new to this and still trying to figure things out i am figuring that i will purchase these links from someone here at the wf.....if that is the way to go.

what are some things i should be asking about prior to doing so.

thanks for your guys help on this.

I think it will work for Google maps, because end of the day you are getting some good links for your website... If you are thinking to get links from PBN, then always consider already established network..

Citations are still working for the local pack, but what you should consider now is building a tier 2 to the citations that you have created. Juice up those pages and you will see some movement. PBN doesn't hurt the site either, PBN will get you ranking in the organic.

Links have nothing to do with google maps.

You don't even need a website.

I guess I'll be kind and leave it at that.

      Maps is not even SEO.

try ranking a business in a competitive niche in a large city without a website. good luck with that.

and if you think maps is not seo i could show YOU a few things....that might change your mind. but i will stop there.

For maps? You don't need a website because maps is not SEO.

No you couldn't. You started a thread asking about a popular SEO tactic and if it will work with maps. Maps does not use organic ranking signals therefore...it's not SEO.

Also, to answer your original thread question, no it won't work. Backlink won't effect maps. PBNs provide backlinks which effect organic traffic, not map listing position.

I can already see the next dumb thread coming: "If I rent an office somewhere will my organic rank improve for my Justin Beiber fan site?"

A crappy product or service by people that disappear from the forum for a long period of time to make it look like they were working on something so when they come back you will want to click on their crappy product or service link

i have thought about this......google allows you to put links as posts to your google plus biz page.

i have thought of putting links to the directory submissions once they are approved and go live.....figure putting them directly on google would help to get them some juice.
