    PageRank is an actual ranking factor, but one that you can no longer see the data too.

    Domain Authority is a 3rd party metric created by Moz that is not a ranking factor and not used by any search engine on the planet.

    So, if you are really focusing on either of these right now, you are doing SEO completely wrong.

        To be fair, the purpose of DA is to crudely mimic Google's Pagerank. I would not say it has nothing to do with it, but obviously it's just another number from another 3rd party. And not very accurate in my humble opinion.

        The bit about "focusing on Pagerank" is total BS, tho.

          Technically, it is not intended to mimic PageRank. MozRank is more intended to do that.
