I would like to clarify all your concepts regarding blog commenting.

1. Yes, blog commenting is effective for creating back-links.
2. If you have commented on the relevant blogs then the owner of the blog will keep your comment for long time. Otherwise for irrelevant blog commenting admin will delete your comment and your backlink will automatically removed or deleted.

As per knowledge i tried it blogspot commenting .. it will take time to get backlinks from Blogspot and most of the getting Nofollow backlinks.

Yes, it is effective, so long as it is relevant to the post you are commenting on. if they are talking about affiliate marketing then make sure that you comment something that is relevant.

As others are pointing out of the links are nofollow they won't boost your SEO, but if you are commenting quality and relevant information on related sites with traffic it may bring you some hits.

Quite frankly, as I read most of the comments above I can see that a lot of persons are responding just for the sake of posting. Most just read what others say and then regurgitate the information with no proof whatsoever.

More than 75% of the links are spammy blog comments. As to how long it will last, I don't know but that just shows that blog comments still works.

My Experience:

I use blog comments but unlike others I don't go spamming blogs with keywords. For my niches, I use the name of the persona associate with the website and I only comment on related blogs. In fact, when you look at my link profile, the name of the persona will have more than 10% of the links.

This also helps with branding because the name is connected to Google+ as the owner of the brand, on the youtube channel and all the other social media platform.

Most comments are nofollow but they DO help. Don't take my word for it, TEST.

Everyone will tell you this or that but my advise is to TEST, TEST and TEST again. That's the only way you'll know for sure what works.

Blog commenting is probably the easiest way to get backlinks. But I don't think you should depend on getting effective ones this way.

Link on blog comments are usually nofollow. So no rank influence will be given. You won't get much human visitors either because rarely do people click on links on comment boxes.

And worst is when that page has already got a ton of comments which most are just spam. Google dislike those pages, including the links on it.

It depends on the niche and the keywords you are targeting. For me, blog commenting stopped working a long time ago...but I must admit that I am into some pretty competitive niches.

Blog and forum comments containing links are almost universally rel="nofollow" meaning you'll get no value from an SEO point of view.
As far as I know a nofollow link will not give any link value.
I believe there is indeed talk of Google factoring in nofollow links from reputable sources (Wikipedia for example) however

Leaving comments on popular blogs means you get some quality back-links as well. Dofollow or Nofollow doesn’t matter in this context because you'll get some benefits of having a back-link from that blog.

If the blog is Dofollow, that’s great, but even if it gives Nofollow backlinks, you can't refrain from commenting. There should be a proper balance of Dofollow-Nofollow backlinks or you might receive some kind of penalty from big Google.

I delete just about every blog comment someone makes on one of my sites because they're all BS.

Even a somewhat legitimate one because I know, without a doubt, the commenter is not trying to start a relevant discussion, but is trying to game the system using one of my sites.
