Can i place news websites featured link on website with do-follow link ?

Hello everyone,

I am working with startup they are fast growing and recently got funded. So all news website write about it. This startup place all news article links place in website footer with do-follow links. website link juice passes through these links. is that good idea to place or i use no-follow tags for all links ?

    to some extent it doesn't matter. Just the fact that the link is there drops your overall link value regardless of follow or no. I personally am not a big fan of footer links. I would internalize this by the use of a "Press" page. I get why you would be doing this, but if you start looking at big boy companies.. they have press pages, and not links in the footer

      Yes you right i seen big companies have press page. But my team want to show these links on home page. What i do ? Take nofollow links ?

        Out of respect for the SEO team on the other end of the links... yeah I would probably send them back as no-follow.

        Something you may want to bring up to your team... that one link on the bottom of each page.. how many pages does your site have? each one of those is sending a link back to the author of the news source. 100 pages is 100 back links from one source to another. you have what 5 stories linked down there that's 500 links out of your site.

        The footer loads for each and every page, its not a single instance, it is a repeated one

          10 pages is my website but I saw news links only on homepage. Show its good idea to show with do-follow links or use no-follow links.

    Actually you should go for the Nofollow if they are in the big amount. and nofollow is always advisable in this type of the cases.

    Hello,
    I want to say that your question is too good, But about your question just i say if you want to promote your other site than you add do-follow links in your site footer but if you add do-follow link of your competitors in your site footer and your link is do-follow than your site juice convert.
