Need Ways To Generate Traffic And Backlinks?

What are the other ways to generate back links and traffic besides article posting. Is there such thing as "Instant Ranking" or "Instant Traffic" ??

In other words is content (articles) necessary??

    There is almost instant traffic from some popular social bookmarking sites but it's not so easy to get.

    Instant ranking? I wish. The closest is Google news but it only lasts a day or two.

    I still think articles and content are the way to go.

    Actually, fresh content is absolutely necessary for backlinks, traffic and ranking. You will get valued backlinks if you write articles and submit them to article directories. Keeping your main website fresh with new content will help you more in terms of ranking high in Google.

    Blog commenting, forum posting and social bookmarking will bring you more traffic too.

    The bottom line, use all of these including article writing and you should get both traffic and quality backlinks.

    Short answer - no.

    There is no traffic tap you can turn on and send a ton of FREE targeted traffic that converts to your site. If there was - gee - that would be nice!

    Imagine the cash you could make !

    To get traffic for free, you need to work.

    Spend the time to get backlinks, add content, create relationships, build your online business.

    A lot of people come into IM and think they can whack up a site and get a ton of traffic and make a million dollars in an instant.

    But it ain't that easy.

    If you want free traffic - build it.

    If you want to pay for traffic - use a program like Google Adwords where you can target it to your potential customer - but beware - it is gonna punish your credit card and make it smoke if you don't know what you are doing!
