Weird Things Happening To My Newly Launched Website

I launched a niche site on 6th of october 2017. On site I posted 4 quality maintained articles then I sent some g+ and facebook social signals on all the posts including homepage. After that I submitted my homepage and posts to google fetch. The posts and homepage got instantly indexed but my targeted keywords are no where to be found on google. I have also built some quality links, luckily got a wikipedia link too. Its been 5 days but still I can't find my site

    Hi Parth,
    Google need to crawl your website before it starts showing your website in search results. Kindly wait for some more time. use -> site: YourSiteUrl.com to check if it is showing in search or not.

      Yes, my whole website is well indexed but just rankings are missing for the targeted keywords.

        Ranking on first page of search engine is a time taking task. you will have to get back links , optimize your content for that specific keyword, promote your website on forums and different social sites. This will take time but you will start getting positive results.

    What's weird about any of that?

    You don't rank?

    Why would you rank? What did you do to rank? Based on what you said, nothing.

    Writing 4 articles is not the same as doing SEO.

    I have published 3 websites and registered them with google index engine more than a year ago and when I do site:mywebsite.com none of them appear. What am I doing wrong ?

      Well first off your posting your own questions in the middle of someone else's thread. It's a different question so create a new post and ask.

      Also give people some more information so they can have half a chance of answering in constructive manner.

      But.. in short they are not indexed. Why not I have no idea without more information like the site Domain name.

    "Quality maintained articles" is relative. You might think it is quality. Others may not.

    Social signals have nothing to do with ranking better in Google, so that was a waste of time.

    Wikipedia is nofollow, so that was also a waste of time.

    I'm going to take a guess that your other "quality links" were weak or near useless.

    And even if none of that was true, why in the hell should your site rank after 6 days? Are you the only one trying to rank for those keywords? Why should you be ahead of anyone else?

      First of all stop being rude.

      Secondly, the keyword I am targeting have very low competition. There are only 4 pages on the google for that keyword (yeah, you heard it right 4 pages, which means 40 results) so that was the reason because of which I was confused.

      I didn't posted this thread for receiving rude replies. You could be polite. You might me angry of seeing these kind of posts everyday but that just don't gives you the right to give these kind of rude explanations.

        I was not being rude. Everything I said was true.

        You may not like it, but it's true.

        I would love to see this keyword. I don't think I have seen a keyword with only 40 results in the SERP in over a decade.

        The number of competing websites or the number of pages that show results in the SERPs has nothing at all to do with whether you will rank for a search term or not. The only thing that matters is how well any given page of your site is optimized for the phrase you are trying to rank for and the links you have relative to those other sites.

        You should only be looking at the page one competition in order to determine your chances of ranking for anything. Who is on page 2 - 2,000 doesn't matter at all. Is your content better, is it optimized better and do you have better links than the sites on page one? That's all that matters.

        And, of course, as others have said, 6 days is not a realistic time frame for a site with no authority to expect to rank for anything.

    1. 5 days is nothing to rank a keyword. Google probably hasn't even fully analyzed your site.
    2. Indexing is easy and pretty swift, ranking much less so.
    3. Sounds like your quality links really aren't.
    4. Number of search results has no bearing on SEO competition.

    I guess you could argue that if there are really only 40 results then you should at least be 41. But that just brings you back to item 1 above.


    It sounds very much that you do not have a clear understanding of SEO.
    I recommend you read and inwardly digest this guide. I'm pretty sure that when you have you will be able to answer your own questions.
    It isn't everything you need to know but it is the essentials you need to know.
