Link building for personal website

Hello,

I have just created a personal website (web marketing, development, and design). I found that when I created my personal gallery on behance (linking my website) the position on google went from page 5 to page 1. That's for example one of the few places that still don't use rel="nofollow" for links.

Are there any other places like that? For example websites where you can create an online cv or profile?

Sure. But the easier it is for you, the easier it is for everyone. I don't know of any that are easy to get, that are worth getting. You could write a good article and try to post it to Medium, as I believe they are still not nofollow.

My advice; outreach. Reach out to other website owners, bloggers, and such. Barter with them. Maybe even pay them. You may be able to work something out in which they will link to your site.

    Hi N,

One awesome way to build links is to move your attention from trying to build things toward building friendships with influential bloggers in your niche. Befriending top bloggers by promoting them, endorsing them and by commenting genuinely on their blogs opens guest posting opportunities as well as features on their high DA, highly popular blogs.

This is going to be hardest nowadays. Only genuine link building technique works. And they are difficult to do now since it takes lot of time as well as energy to craft a good content that people would love to share.

That's not true. It is far from the "best way to attract more and more readers to your website."

I can get a hell of a lot more readers running ads.

You are right. But I mean Guest Post is the another way and running ads is also is the different way.

It's better that you build links with high DA sites. It would be worth since your site will be getting a good exposure, ultimately improving your ranking in search engines. It's always better to build backlink on a site that allows dofollow links.

Following and engaging with your link targets on Twitter, especially if your link targets are heavily invested in Twitter, like journalists, B2B bloggers and contributors, and authors or people who write for lots of different publications. It doesn't have to be a published author. It can just be a writer who writes for lots of online pieces.

Then sharing your related content with them or just via your Twitter account, if you're engaging with them a lot, chances are good you can get a follow back, and that will lead to a lot of followed up links with a citation.

You can do the guest post or just do blog commenting on other websites. all these things definitely work and you can also build a good relationship with other bloggers and website owners. So don't wait and good luck for your website.
