Hi, I have two questions of SEO,

The product name is 'KZ ZSR earbuds' ,

the keyword at google keyplanner is 'KZ ZSR'

and the title made by maker is very long as

'KZ ZSR Pro Six Drivers In Ear Earphone Armature And Dynamic Hybrid Headset HIFI Noise Cancelling Earbuds'

So my question are

1: Just for better SEO, which one of three above should I use as the product title ?

2: Just for better SEO, which one of below should I use as the product url?

mydomain.com/KZ-ZSR-earbuds.html

mydomain.com/KZ-ZSR.html

mydomain.com/KZ-ZSR-Pro-Six-Drivers-In-Ear-Earphone-Armature-And-Dynamic-Hybrid-Headset-HIFI-Noise-Cancelling-Earbuds.html

Thank you for any word.

Im guessing you sell earphones, yes?

This question falls under site structure, not just an individual URl

Think about your site as a WHOLE, and by that Im referring to allowing for expansion and change. Incase in a years time you decide to sell toasters for eg..

    For eg...

    mywebsite.com/ (root domain)

    mywebsite.com/earphones/ (parent product category)

Then hang all of the appropriate products under that category (individual product pages)

    mywebsite.com/earphones/kz-zsr-earbuds/

Then put all of that other nonsense in your title and meta description tag.

There's no need to keyword stuff the hell out of your URls.

    thank you so much.
Yes, I sell earphones, flashlights and many other gadgets

Is the parent product category (mywebsite.com/earphones/) important?
I'd like to let all categories have the same parent category such as mywebsite.com/products/

Please share your opinion about it.

I agree with John. Try to keep your URL under 7 words. You can add in a few descriptors like for-sale, but don't get spammy by making your URL too long.

mydomain.com/KZ-ZSR-Pro-Six-noise-cancelling-earbuds would probably be a good URL choice, but do your keyword research first and form a comprehensive strategy for this page.

It will not matter in the least as far as SEO is concerned because URLs have no influence over ranking.

      Not true.

URL hierarchy is one trigger for Google Sitelinks and Mega Sitelinks. URLs are also the basis for SEO silos which helps rank pages, even double/triple ranked pages per keyword.

The length of a URL isn't important, it's about grouping pages (ex: ...com/parent/child).

In the context of his question, my answer was absolutely correct. The location of the product name in the file structure was identical. The only thing that changed was the length of the product name, which in this case is irrelevant for SEO.

It's relevant in that OP has no logical site structure.

I wouldn't use any of OPs URLs.

The only way OPs example URLs would make sense is If they only sold one brand of earbuds and the Home page was the category page. Basically a very small site.

When OP tries to scale up with different brands/styles/etc... or even sell regular headphones it's going to be a complete mess.

That is definitely true, but what he puts for the actual product's URL (after whatever folder it is in) is still not going to affect how well it ranks. It doesn't matter how long or short that product portion of the URL is nor what words are used in it.

Go ahead with URL - www.mydomain.com/KZ-ZSR-earbuds.html

You can use some LSI Keywords also in URL.

= Don't use long product title but something like:

    KZ ZSR Hybrid HiFi Earphones

KZ ZSR High Fidelity Dynamic Hybrid Earbuds(Earphones)

You can use features or quality in detail description.

    Hope that helps.

    Good luck.

Sure, you can use LSI keywords in the URL. Not sure why that matters since those words in the URL are not going to help you rank better for anything.

URL hierarchy is still important because it tells the right signal from your site pages but regardless in length. Site links is the best example of well structured site.

Make sure that the URL is user friendly so you can use - Brand name+Model+Generic keyword. For e.g. - mydomain.com/KZ-ZSR-noise-cancelling-earbuds/. It will help users understand as well as beneficial for SEO.

Better to have a shorter URL, which is search friendly and easy to remember. It should one keyword related to the page which adds some information to the URL.

Better to keep it simple and clean, and categorize them accordingly. Makes it easier to read and is very friendly for search engines and users. Besides, I never was a fan of those jumbled numbers and letters I'd often see in other sites' URLs. Ticks me off. Ahh, I remember the old days. I would always remind my Filipino freelancer that I didn't like to see messy URLs, haha!

In my opinion, Short URL is better for SEO. It can be typed easily and also can be shared through a medium that has a character limit.
