Hi all,
Wonder if I could ask for some advice.. I'm starting up as a mindset coach and have a site. IM not an SEO guys so I figured I'd outsource this piece. That was approx 6 months ago however, to this day the freelancer i hired has said that he thinks Googe is de-indexing my site so I have some concerns over what he has been doing all this time. The traffic has been painfully low which I cant understand for 6 months of work.
  1. Have I been scammed by this guy? I have since let him go.
  2. Is there a way I can find out if Google has been de-indexing?
  3. I used wprobot to help with the blog (could this have added to problems?)
  4. Most importantly, how do I turn things around quick?

Site is www.capstonecreativity.com btw, any additional help I can recieve about the site or what should be my next steps I would be grateful.

Unrelated to your SEO question, I visited your site and immediately left.

    Why?

    It's all about you.

Not about me and my problems and how I'm in the right place to feel better, get some hope, turn things around, etc.

You and who you are is boring (no offense). I am interested in me and what do I get by visiting your site and using your services.

You may want to check into some copywriting 101 type stuff because if you don't, I'm afraid even if your traffic picks up they will do like I did. Everyone wants to know WIIFM (what's in it for me). It's human nature.

    Good luck.

Is there anything else I can look at? If I wasnt looking to do the SEO myself, is there a way that I could test the new person knows their stuff and not rip me off? What type of questions would I ask etc.?

6 months of work from your freelancer doesn't change your site and worst it can possibly ruin your reputation because of improper way of doing seo.

    - Get someone else's help. There are other people who could help you out with your website, you just need to be really good at filtering them.
    - You are not being de-indexed. You were just made to believe that.
    - If you have time, sit down and do a research on how to create interesting content. Need SEO? Hire a pro.
