Hey guys,

I am looking at some domains that are available to the niche I am building. The extension EDUCATION is the only one that has the exact keywords I am after. Also education does meet the need,
So the question is, am I going to have problems ranking a site with DOT education ?

I don't think I ever seen anything like this on the first page of Google. But I could be wrong.
What do you think?

Thanks.
#education #extension

    hello guys

Those features include various interfaces to manage courses, students, institutions, mentors, etc., as well as improving workflow for everyone involved (enrollment, seeing changes made by other students, article and reviewer association, and providing several analysis/statistics interfaces).

No problem at all. You should go for it. In fact a .edu domain might not have any direct effect but indirectly that should increase your trustability.

Same way that you have a domain that ends with .com and .net and or .org there is .education

If you are targetting Education niche then no problem at all. Go for it. Generally, education-related niche uses this extension, that's why when you may search for other niches, you won't see the .edu pages in the 1st page of the Google or Bing. if you search for education-related terms, you will see the results with the .edu extension. I would like to hear from you about your niche to assist you further.

    Thanks,
    - Robert

Thread has been bumped with spam (now deleted) a few times - but no one answered the question.

Unless it has changed (which is possible), .edu domains are not available to everyone..the message below appears on registration sites...

Registration of a .edu domain is limited to accredited degree-granting institutions of higher learning. The registration and administration of .edu domains is managed by EduCause.
To register a .edu domain name, please visit EduCause.

This is .EDUCATION and not .EDU domain.

No extension is more favored by google than another, with a caveat.

However, some are spammed to death and do reverse SEO for you.

Like those many new designer tlds. Some are like 100% spammed.

If you think .loan is a good bet, forget it. Your site will die in google.

I'd ditch that .biz as well.

I pity the accountant who has a .accountants....and wonder why his site does not get indexed.

Those domains are for entertainment purposes....not serious SEO sites interested in google.

    Don't believe the hype.
