conflict in ranking for blog post and page for same keyword

i optimized one web page in my website with 1 keyword.
Initially it ranked well.
later i wrote blog article in my website with same keyword and indexed in google.
My service page ranking is replaced with that new blog post.
Any one please provide the solution.

    The solution to what? You want to rank for a keyword phrase and one of your pages is doing it (it doesn't matter which one).

    If that's not good enough to just show up and get someone over to your website then you have to change things. Google's goal is to serve the best page for what it believes is the searcher's intent. Google believes the blog post is a better match. Either tweak the blog post to not match the intent so well, tweak the original page to match the intent better than the blog post or get rid of the blog post if you don't want people going to that page.

    Really, though, I'd go with whatever is easiest, which is letting the blog post outrank the other page and then tweaking the blog post to steer people to the page you really want them viewing with strategically placed links.

    You are just ranking by placing your keywords? That's good.


    And I don't see any problem here & what exactly are you trying to achieve?


    You posted a post and then updated the post by republishing it. So, google is ranking the new one.

    The blog post has replaced your other page because it probably offers more content and most likely has more backlinks pointing to it. So, Google has found your blog post to be more relevant to the searched keywords.

    Solution: Add more relevant, unique content to your service page and start building dofollow backlinks to that page. In time, it should start to rank again.

    I think you are lucky for this, because currently, you have two keyword with good ranking. Just to write another article, and optimise the keywords. If you doing this activities regularly, you will get a lot of keyword with good search engine position.

    Problems require solutions; you do not have a problem, hence, there is no solution.

    If I were you, though, I'd work on getting both pages to rank. 1 and 2 is better than 1.
