Let's assume we have the following keywords

"free teeth whitening trial"

and we have the two following URLs, the only thing different is the URL, nothing else

1. http://mysite.com/products/free-teeth-whitening-trial
2. http://mysite.com/free-teeth-whitening-trial

Would number 2 rank better since the URL's majority of keywords is related to what is being searched?

Or it would make no difference at all?

What makes Google rank keywords is how you optimize them. Are you using articles, or products? And how did you come up with the keywords? Did you do proper KWR?

URLs contained keywords has nothing to do with rankings and its only for better navigation of the website to benefit the visitors. It has to be more on systematic approach in the content pages of the website.
