Niche affiliate website targeting local country

Hi all,
I'm planning to start an amazon affiliate website in a certain niche targeting my country(India). There are no local competitors for the niche and all the top results are occupied by international authority websites (like gearhungry.com, goodhousekeeping.com linking to amazon.com). The top 10 results also has 2-3 results from amazon.in. My primary source of traffic will be organic. I would like to know if by proper SEO and backlinking can I break the 1st page results for local searches(India)?

    Of course you can.
    You can even be #1.

    Since you wrote "proper SEO and backlinking," I assume you do not know what proper SEO is. (Baclinking is part of SEO.)

    But SEO is pretty simple. You can learn a lot on Brian Dean's Blog Backlinko.com.
