Niche with no good keywords?

Hi guys,

Have you ever tried to make a niche website only to find that the niche you're targeting doesn't have any low competition, long-tail keywords that you could rank for?

Are some niches so competitive (like online poker or weight loss) that it's difficult to rank for ANY keywords, even long-tail ones?

    Weight loss is not a niche. It's the whole market.

    Weight loss for men in their 50's who have diabetes is.

    Go look at amazon or walmart. Click on a department. Then click on one of the sub pages. Now you are getting there.

    Selecting the perfect niche is very difficult. Weight loss is a very competitive niche. It is advised that new marketers should not start their niche site with weight loss niche.

    Do deep research, take some time and find the less competitive niche. Less competitive niche means small investment with great ROI.

      Weight loss is not a niche.

      And there is no perfect niche. Stop looking for the perfect one, you are just wasting time.

    Few tips to target niche with no search demands are -
    • First build a brand with content marketing, social media and even with PPC
    • Asking some of the clients of the business how they search or look for your products can be very helpful.
    • Last but not least - attract the audience not query

    I've made the same mistake with the first site I made.
    It was too broad and not worth writing about its long-tail keywords.
    At the end of the year, I only made $ 50

    Now, I have a niche not too broad and it's getting better results in the SERPS. But it's time-consuming, I have to write like crazy.

    The next site will be a micro-niche.
    Focused on an issue and only a product.
    After 6 months, then I'll expand horizontally.

    It's crucial to do keyword research to see if there are long-tail keywords with no competency and a high decent amount of searches per month.

    After some research, you should create a content calendar for the first 6 months.

    This is something I'm learning with the site I own now.

    You don't want to stress about researching and writing. You want to do the research beforehand, and then just focused on writing good content for the rest of 6 months.

    Every site you create is one site less to your success. You're going to learn valuable skills if you're consistent.

    Its your niche more in psihical area like psihical products from amazon ? I am thinking thats way you have this problem .In general for niches where you have dgital products you can help people you can find a lot of subkeywords

    Try being more specific. I guess that there is no oversaturated niches, just big markets. You can always change youre product a bit to fit into a tighter niche with lower competition.

    No offense to anybody here, but it's critical to mention that when you look for your keywords, MAKE SURE that your SPELLING is accurate. If it's not, you will be paddling up the wrong river simply using marshmallows and weights to stay afloat.

    First nich is choosen by you, than you can start research on it, now if you have skills to rank a website than you should choose a high volume keyword related to inch so that if your website will rank on that keyword you can get maximum traffic. \
    and if you start with low completion that you should chose a long tail keyword so that you will have higher posiiblites torank your website faster.

    If you look around, you'll find that niches are using the same SEO
    trickery to bring market's attention and some of them no matter
    how niche is crowded, some of them are flourish. The reason for that
    is how you're connecting you keywords to your content, how much your
    content is reflecting your site's subject and specially how it presented
    to public and Bots.

    It depends on you really. Ideally create a niche around a passion or interest. That way working on it will be fun and effortless.

    A good niche will have a large audience but not too much competition. That's hard to find online these days so go for something you love and can maintain working on for the long term.

    I think what you need is elaborate and effective research. Analyze your competitors and build your brand with blogs, social media posts and content marketing as suggested above. Furthermore, you can use tools like SEMrush to conduct productive research.

    I know of weight loss sites. They are extremely competitive that it will cost you an arm to rank a site in that niche

      Again, weight loss is not a niche, it's the whole market. It is very expensive to rank if you are thinking weight loss, not a small niche.


      Small niches, most are not that competitive. But they do make you money.

    Indeed, I agree with others - there is no such thing as perfect niche. And if you have subject that no one ever wrote about - think twice, you're either not researching well enough or no one cares about that subject and thus no point of writing about it. There are of course exceptions like blue ocean start-up ideas, but even then , those new ideas revolve around a topic (technology, medicine , whatever). It is true that some keywords are way more competitive than the other, but if you want to get real traffic - there is no escape from having to write high-quality content that would outperform your competitors'. Alternatively, there are terms that nobody ever uses, making it super easy to rank for them , but again - how much value do you get from it anyway?

    Yes there is some niche having much competitive and not easy to reach SERPs. But i am trying to target LSI keywords of some niche and it works....

    Sub niches have a high margin to get heavy traffic because they are targeting specific keywords. No matter how competitive the niches are, there is always an angle that is less competitive, highly profitable, and easy to rank.

    As far as the keyword research is concerned, we first dominate on keywords that are less competitive. Then we slowly start moving to keywords, having high KD.

    GG wants to give people the best answer to their search.

    When people look for "weight loss drinks" (vol: 22,000 in US), GG knows that 9,900 of them also look for "apple cider vinegar".

    Therefore, if your content will refer also to "apple cider vinegar", it will be considered more relevant for the term "weight loss drinks"

    Keyword research is more than finding low competitive keywords. Today this is not enough.

    You need to find out the user intent, and what he'll expect to find in your content, and this can be done (among other ways) by finding deeper long-tail keywords with dominating words.
