Copying Youtube Video transcripts

Can you copy the transcript from you tube vdeos to make unique content?

I've seen a lot of software that does this, but it doesn't quite feel right somehow, so what is the general thought on this?

    No. Channel owners have copyright in the derivative work of the transcript, so you have to ask permission.

    As others here said - nope. But if you're willing to do the work of transcribing them, perhaps there are some channel owners who might be interested in distributing to their fans? Could be a decent way to offer content creators value and build a relationship with them that may lead to fruitful promotional opportunities for your business..

    Are they your videos? If not, that is theft.

    If they are your videos, you can do whatever you want with the script.
