Hey everyone,
I've been learning and trying SEO for a while now, but I'm not seeing much traffic on my site. I've done keyword research, added meta tags, worked on backlinks, and optimized content - still not much progress. I'd really appreciate some tips from anyone experienced in SEO who can point out what might be going wrong or what I should focus on more. Thanks in advance!

    Real advice:

You don't learn about SEO on a forum post.

This is an entire industry that requires time and dedication to learn.

How many books have you read about SEO?

    Have you taken any courses?

Probably not, otherwise you wouldn't be having this problem.

Did you research your niche before you got started?

How many websites have you developed?

Are you using A.I. to assist you with your SEO strategy?

What is the monthly search volume of your keywords?

These are just some of the things you should know before you even get started.

If you have any specific questions, post them here.

The work you have done on the site will definitely improve its rating, but they must be done constantly. New pages with new unique content and key queries should appear on the site.
Create new external links. Connect social networks. Check for errors in the webmaster account and fix them. Understand analytics.
The topic of your site and the competitive environment are of great importance. Higher competition slows down the growth of the site.
If you are working on the site for several months, you should not expect a quick result. It may be in six months, in a year. Each subsequent year is important for the site because search engines pay special attention to the age of the domain. Annual renewal increases authority.

Check Site Performance - Use Google Search Console to find indexing issues and PageSpeed Insights to improve loading speed.

Content Quality & Freshness - Regularly update your content and ensure it's high-quality, in-depth, and solves user intent.

User Experience (UX) & Engagement - Improve navigation, mobile-friendliness, and internal linking to keep visitors engaged.

Long-Tail Keywords & Search Intent - Target less competitive, intent-based keywords for better rankings.

Authority & Backlinks - Focus on high-quality backlinks from niche-relevant sites rather than just quantity.

Social & Referral Traffic - Share content on social media, Quora, and forums to drive organic engagement.

Mechanics (and other professions) require years of training and education.

Obviously, mechanics need hands-on experience, but they must also refer
to parts manuals and such on a regular basis. If you have ever been inside
a mechanic's shop/garage, you saw that it was full of books and manuals.

I have been developing websites for over 25 years and these newbies are
not going to learn everything they need to know about SEO or any other
topic by posting questions on forums.

They need to educate themselves in multiple ways if they want long-term
success, and they need to put additional effort into their internet marketing
besides slapping keywords on a website and expecting to earn a living.

Try making your posts more in-depth and specific. Check your site speed, because that definitely affects rankings. Also, look at internal linking, it helps a lot. Have you considered optimizing for featured snippets? That can bring in traffic too.

Aside from ensuring high-quality, pay attention to the user experience, site speed, and technical SEO, as these can significantly impact rankings. Also, consider diversifying your backlink strategy with relevant, authoritative links and revisiting keyword optimization to capture both primary and secondary terms. Competitor analysis also provide valuable insights into areas where you can improve.
