Quick Domain Selection Question....

Hi all,

Was wondering whether having the keyword in the sub domain is as effective as having it in the domain? In terms of SEO. Thanks!

    I am under the impression that having the keyword in the sub domain will help you, but will not be quite as good as an exact match domain name.

    I'd rather have a keyword rich domain than mess with sub domains and would recommend the same for you!

        Keyword in domain or subdomain will not help for squat.
        What helps is what you do to promote and SEO your
        pages. Period. There is no magical fairy dust in a domain
        name, although Tinkerbell still promotes this theory.

        Websites are ranked. Not domain names.

        Google wants to buy trulia.com
        Do you know what trulia.com is about? Probably not.
        What is a trulia?

        I'll say it again for the umpteenth time. Get the slickest,
        coolest domain name and run with it. Just like the big
        boys. They could care less about putting keywords in
        domain names. Why not? Do you want to be like the big boys
        or the little boys?

        Keyword in domain or not, you will have to work an equal
        amount of time.

    Not really, you could have you exact keywords in your domain and be ranked much lower that someone with www.dasdasdasdfeds.com lol rememeber
