    do the other ones bring relevant volumes of traffic or is it purely for SEO purposes?

      But if it is for your money sites (like one site with adsense ads), then these articles should be considered as backlinks to increase rankings of your site for specific keywords
      Then there are businesses who would like to get the word around....
      The possibilities are countless, it all depends on your requirement.
