Help on some Google search syntax? (allintitle)

What's the normal syntax for allintitle?

Sometimes I get different results for

allintitle:my chosen keywords

and

allintitle:"my chosen keywords"

but sometimes I get the same results.

Can someone help me out on what's the correct syntax and if there's supposed to be a difference?

  Thanks, I saw that, but it doesn't explain why there's different results for each. I've actually been going off of the about.com rules but I wanted to know why there's a difference.

  Allintitle: "Cat ate my banana"
  
  will give you sites that have this exact phrase, in that order, in the title.
  
  Allintitle: Cat ate my banana
  
  would give you sites that had any of the following titles:
  Cat ate my banana
  Banana cat ate my
  Cat my banana ate
  My banana ate cat
  and so on.

The same way a search works between exact, phrase, and broad search.

You can get exact, phrase, or broad matches within the titles of these websites.

If you type, allintitle: [your keywords] I believe you will get what you're looking for.
