Yeah its possible - but how the **** would you make such a big site? Thats like 2740 articles per day for a year !! Or 274 articles per day for 10 years..

So unless you have a pretty nice idea that includes a bunch of people, maybe a community? Then your not gonna make it! a 1.000.000 pages website on your own? Narh

Warrior forum has 160,328 threads and 1,842,434 post. So yes, its very possible to create a million page site, your just not going to do it by yourself.

Million page sites can be created on just about anything, go look at yahoo news, cnn, bbc, wikipedia, wordpress.com, myspace, facebook,,,,,, or any of the other large sites.

The easiest way to create such a site would be through a blog community - like worpdress multi-user, or through a forum.

The niche would have to be one that you know a lot about. Because you would have to lead the project.

If you have a network of friends or business partners, creating a large site might be a good time invest. But the time it would take to create a million page site is enormous. Your talking years.

A million page site may not be niche specific. You have to go broad to achieve the feat. However, you can consider the sports niche.

Creating a million page site is actually quite easy. There a quite a number of merchants who have product datafeeds of more than 30,000 or more in CJ which you can use to create individual product pages. The big challenge is to get all of these pages indexed properly in Google without being penalized at some point.

Is it EASY to make a million page website with unique content?

I can make a grapper in PHP and make a million-page website with articles etc. etc. from the internet - it wouldn't be unique thought..

It is possible - but I though we were talking about unique content..

Product datafeeds are not unique and were one of the main targets of the Mayday update. The really big problem with one million pages site is that sooner or later it will be detected by Google. The footprint will expand far too fast so that the site will be flagged. If you use page dripping technology, it will take forever for the site to be completely indexed.

You may either get an automatic penalty imposed or have the site flagged for manual review. Google takes these sites much more seriously than mini-sites as they are worse type of search engine spam imaginable. Unless you have a site with a lot of user contributed unique content, the chances are that it will be penalized sooner or later.

The days when you can make massive amounts of money with huge spammy sites are long gone.

  Yes, user generated site would make it lot easier to reach million pages.
  It can take some effort to get it going but once it is on autopilot you just have to manage and moderate it.
  
  Easy way to get million page site is to star an article directory with all the categories you can think of and sigh up to all the submission services and auto prove and publish all the articles. The overall quality of the article directory would be very low but you would get your million pages quite fast.

  Yup look at Ezinearticles, Squidoo, and Wikipedia. They all do it. But you need to get a lot of people actively posting on a web 2.0 site. Doing it all yourself .... hmmm, good luck with that.

A forum can do this over time, if it is active enough. But it will take a while to go from 1 page to a million.
