  • Great idea to make your site look cheap and spammy.

Bolding those keywords all over your site is not going to make a noticable difference in your rankings. And bolding the same keyword on multiple pages makes no sense anyway since you "should" have a page dedicated to each of the keywords, not trying to confuse the engines by trying to get bunches of pages on your site to rank for the same keyword phrase.

As soon as I click-thru to a site that is bolding keywords throughout their content, I don't even bother reading. I know its some wannabe SEO thinking they can increase their rankings by bolding every occurene of their keyword phrase, so I simply hit the back button and move on to a different site.

Well I might actually read your page then if you styled the <b> and <strong> elements to appear as normal font.

I'm just saying when I see the same keyword phrase bolded every time it appears on a page or site, it just screams "cheap" and "spammy" to me as a user. And the miniscule SEO benefit that doing so might provide my site is not worth the damage it does to the site from an aesthetic and user perspective.

I guess you must not use Google then? They have been doing this for years now and it hasn't seemed hurt them much.

It's not for rankings at all. I don't want your opinions anyways, I want an answer.
