PRESS RELEASES! There are many press release sites online that you can post your press release for free.
When I first tried this technique, I was discouraged, I guess I was ignorant to the way things work with search engines. After 2 days I only had about 100 backlinks from this. Once I thought I decided to not even bother with it anymore, I checked and noticed 500 results for my press release with possible back links.
The number kept rising and still is rising, right now my release has been posted and syndicated on over 26,000 websites.
Now, not all of them contain an anchored back link, some just have the url, some don't have a backlink at all. You can't control that. See, posting on these press release sites, it is high PR, and it isn't just posted on the sites you submit to, it can go anywhere!
Your press release will resyndicate and you will keep getting back links!
You shouldn't be doing this just for the back links, but you should be doing this to increase traffic, specifically from these press releases!
In the past 2 weeks I have had 5X the traffic, and have directly made 1,300 from the press release, with another 750 coming close, through a pending sale. I do web design, but I'm positive this will work no matter what you have to offer.
What should you write in your press release?
Step 1: Come up with an original title... so you can search the results yourself and see where all the pr ends up! This is the most important part though, because you need a title that will make the user click and even view your press release.
Step 2: Write compelling content. If you write your press release in an hour, then it isn't good enough. Focus on spending about 3 hours just writing a great press release.
Step 3: Include your reason and need for sending out a press release. Don't use a press release if you can't spin your business and make it seem like something newsworthy.
Step 4: People say that you can do a 500 word, press release and have great results. Possibly true, but I don't know of anyone with the results I have had. Focus on 675-750 words for your press release
Step 5: Have about a 4-5% keyword density. Some of these sites will allow 2-3 links, possibly more. So you don't really need to stuff just one keyword in there.
Step 6: Start submitting!
I don't have a list available for everyone right now but a simple google search will give you press release submission sites. I just don't want to include all of my resources because many of these sites end up going to paid service or having restrictions due to being spammed to death.
