Hi all, and thanks again for the expert help

I don't need to be the best SEO in the Country, only the best in Frederick County Maryland!!!

but you're helping me be the best in Maryland...
( Internet Advertising Maryland - Google Search )
I followed a thread in the main part of the forum about checking pagerank, I found this site that gives me pretty good info, info that I didn't know before:

Pagerank Tool - Use Findmypagerank.com to check your pagerank, alexa rank, indexed pages, backlinks, and more...

the 'read out' from my site confuses me a bit, could one of you explain please?

Internet Advertising for Maryland- Local Google Advertising Experts- Frederick Web Promotions

that's my site, I point my domain name to it, but that's my main page.

Here's the 'read out':

Results for: frederick.com/index.php?action=sponsor&id=4235

Pagerank: 4
Alexrank: 508,657
Backlinks in Google: 5
Indexed in Google: 1,160
Backlinks in Yahoo: 0
Indexed in Yahoo: 0
Backlinks in Msn: 0
Indexed in Msn: 0
AltaVista: 4
AllTheWeb: 4
Couple questions...

Back links in Google: 5
Indexed in Google: 1,160 ?

what's the difference?

is the 'Indexed in' the 'supplemental index'?

and if so... and I submitted tons of articles, articles that mainly ended up in the supplemental index, would those STILL increase my PR?

I previously thought, and maybe erroneously, that the supplemental index was purgatory?

Am I wrong OR does that depend on who my competition is?

The folks I'm competing with are so "Pre Warrior" that they don't stand a chance, perhaps due to their backwards-ness, I shine??

Thanks

Backlinks are those recognized as "votes" for your site. They may include links from external or internal web pages.

Indexed in Google are pages from your site that are included in the search index.

No, this is different from the supplemental index. It used to be that you are able to tell pages that are in the supplemental index because you will see them labeled as "supplemental". But that label has been removed now:
Supplemental results - Webmaster Help Center

That means the pages just won't appear.

Only Google can answer that question. From my own experiences, I find that I can still get sites to rank even though the articles are in the supplemental index. Don't forget, there are other search engines around.

I previously thought, and maybe erroneously, that the supplemental index was purgatory?

    See link supplied above.

Am I wrong OR does that depend on who my competition is?

If you are into article marketing, you will be miles ahead of your competition...assuming they know nothing about internet marketing.

The folks I'm competing with are so "Pre Warrior" that they don't stand a chance, perhaps due to their backwards-ness, I shine??

Yes, hope you are doing well

    Thanks
