Hi,

Does anybody know how to start a affiliate network from scratch???

There are a few local products that the owners would like me to build affiliate programs for...

They don't want to go through CJ or LinkShare....they want full control...and they want me to start from scratch.

Any Ideas...

>need software to build code links and track affiliate links.

>need to figure out how to find affiliates to promote products.

Any Ideas

Also,

is this good software??

Unfortunately, I can't help you as this is outside of my realm of expertise. Have you tried searching the forums here?

I just know someone has a WSO on this, heh. Hoping you get a good answer...I'd be interested to see this as well, just to see/know the steps...

You see, that's the hard part. That's why you join an existing network. Otherwise, you need to promote the affiliate network too.
A good place to find affiliates though, is at abestweb.com. BUT, if you want to promote your new network, you will need to buy advertising there.

There are a few programs out there to do what you want. A question for you though, are the companies going to be paying you for setup and maintenance and your time for this network?
Also, when they say they want total control, what is their real objection? They might not need their own, brand new, untried, affiliate-less, network.

Oh yeah, don't even bother with CJ and Linkshare, they are too expensive. Check out ShareASale.com

I believe DAP let's you manage your own affiliate program, and it's not too expensive.

      DAP = Digital Access Pass

      Ya,

I'm new to this....I have a new partner who has some existing clients that are requesting this...

It was up to me...we would only focus on CJ, Clickbank and other established Aff networks...

doesn't hurt to learn this though
