Link Wheel and Link Pyramid?

I have found, especially in the last 4ish months, when you interlink it isn't as powerful. That is just my own results, tested this out on a couple sites, no keyword in the domain, same keywords, same on page(not same content), and I have noticed that when you interlink that it just isn't as strong.

I have been having success with just one way links pushing through different tiers.

I'd like to hear what you think though... have you tried both ways and had different results than me?

Personally I've consistently had better results interlinking them. I'll typically have 3 links in the content - 2 to other properties, and 1 to my money site. Awesome results.

Same way I did it... I still had results, definitely.. just not as drastic as I did with not interlinking. Perhaps I messed up testing it out.

I think link pyramids are more effective than link wheels. This is because link pyramids have many layers and leave no footprints. If done properly, they are very very effective.

No, if you link wheel anything there is a decay factor. Don't interlink the sites. Just do a link push

They're essentially the same thing.

It's the quality of the sites in your wheel/pyramid that's most important.

Pyramid link wheel is much effective than link wheel. Link wheel is also good but it depend on your quality

I have been testing the effects of both of these over the past 6 weeks for clients. So far neither has excelled. The pyramid has indexed at a higher ration but has not made a greater difference than a tradition yet. The next 6 weeks may tell me more.

Its a shame there are so many other factors that stop it being a fair test lol
