keyword domain is probably the better way to go as part of the "free" SEO. You get extra 'points' from Google by doing nothing much.

The answer can be positive and whenever you can try getting domains which contain your main targeted terms. If you step into highly competitive niches which naturally are crowded with lots of domains, if your domain address contains the main words, you will usually experience faster results because even natural links that simply contain your business name would act as a great vote towards getting finer ranks.

Some big companies are found spending high amounts of cash to purchase older domains from sellers as long as they contain their primary words. Search engines are definitely attentive to such matters as what words the domains are consisted of.

indirectly this is what I would advise. Keywords in the domain name is about a 6 year-old factor. plenty of sites rank for highly competitive keywords without having the keyword in their domain name.

It is better to have a domain name that is easy to remember and easy to type over a domain name loaded with keywords. I understand what may be a frustrating situation for you and that every day I see people asked this question.

it would be wrong for me to get upset with people for trying to help noobs but it does get rather frustrating when people are vomiting out very outdated information. If I had to rate keywords in the domain on a scale of 1 to 1000 it would be in the lower 100s.

If this is going to be a primary domain for you ( opposed to a supporting domain that only exists to drive keyword traffic ) then take a short domain name that is easy to remember.

with the state of the economy right now domain names are easier to get because a lot of people are not holding onto them to try and get money out of the need for easy to type domain names.

Keyword domain is one of the most important things you should think about when creating a website. It is a way for you to be known with the keyword you use on your domain and for search engines to identify your website on that specific keyword. You just need to choose the best keyword to describe your business or what you offer.

A keyword domain is conducive for SEO purpose,I don't think that Google has built any algo that nullifies the effect of a anchor text created from a keyword domain.
