Panda Backing For New Websites

I am developing a new strategy for backlinking new domains and designing new websites to be Google Panda friendly. I only start a new website when an aged domain of quality can't be found. You can probably use a slightly more aggressive approach for aged domains that haven't had any link velocity.
First Thoughts
1. Absolutely justify the cost of backlinking
2. Be sure you can rank
3. Make sure this niche is lucrative
SEO is about to get more expensive. The value of your good websites in your portfolio are going to be worth much more than the used to be. Times are changing and you won't be able to blast your way to the top with 100,000 profile links anymore. To win in both the short and long run you are going to have to develop a diverse backlinking profile. Yes, you can use some spam, but use it as a way to get some IP diversity and not your top method to rank.
New Site Development
1. Unless you are a business, you need to create a very rich homepage. This means having images and videos along with your keyword related text. I typically have 500-1000 words of content on the homepage, but my sites with 2000+ words generally perform better. This post has about 2,000 words to give you an idea. Those with multiple images separated by text or a unique self-hosted video do even better.
2. You should still write for SEO and the user. Meaning a keyword density of 2-3%, but work your keyword into the sales copy or article in key places. I often see many affiliate pages with 10% keyword density, instead you should describe the product as "it" or "keyword variation 2″.
3. Your Adsense articles should be written to try and make someone buy or should be presented as general information. I think Google is starting to decipher good content from bad content. While they may not be perfect yet, it may be coming. You can dramatically boost your CTR by having lines like "You can save up to 30% by shopping online" and then having an Adsense block near that call to action. This is what affiliates have been doing for years to get higher conversions, rather than just placing in a block like this.
