On Blog commenting

providing a blog hasnt already been raided with spammers, if i get a comment approved on a PR3 blog, with name as anchor text and site in website box, does this count as a PR3 backlink?

As long as the actual page the post is located on, and not just domain name itself, has PR3 then yes.

bare in mind also that a lot of blog comments seem to be nofollow links these days too.

yeah the page the comment is on is pr3 and ive made sure its dofollow, thanks.

It doesn't matter if the domain is PR3, it matters if the PAGE (the specific URL) is PR3.

It should indeed count as a pr3 backlink. But there are many factors beyond pr that will factor into the juice passed.

Yes, it will count as a PR3 backlink. It's also very helpful if the backlink is dofollow.

It depends on what's the actual pagerank of the Page where your link is present with comment.

  Yes It's PR3.Posting comment on Dofollow PR3 page is pretty very much tough.So search for Dofollow blog rather no follow.

I have read that even if the post is nofollow that trust and authority is passed. Haven't tested this myself but if true it could be useful.
