My current off page SEO plan of action is all over the place. Starting this week i want to have more direction and a solid plan of action.

I'm just creating this thread to see what you guys do and at what stages. Like what do you do the first week a site has been made, second week and so on.

If i get a few replies i can then work towards coming up with my own plan of action. Thanks in advance,

I would start with a Press release, followed by article syndication. Bookmark as you go along. However, that being said, depending on the competition of those for your main keywords, I would develop a mind map showing a linking strategy - link wheel. If highly competitive, then you will need to set up some web 2.0 sites, create some posts there, and set up random linking, bookmark, then do blog commenting, forum profiles, article syndication etc. Always protect your money site, so that it doesn't look spammy. The link juice will pass through the web 2.0 to your site. You could have several layers, depending on the competition strength. Some of these other links will also link directly to your money site. Hope this helps.

Start with some social bookmarking and RSS feed submission so that your site will be indexed. Then move to other types of linkbuilding like blog commenting, forum profiles, article submission and web 2.0 creation. Start with small of numbers of backlinks and diverse linkbuilding to give a natural look to your linkbuilding campaign.

There are actually no direct cut orders to stick to because in the world of SEO you may not find some straightforward patterns to stick to. As an example, all kinds of websites no matter how old or new they are are in need of gathering some links and so, even on the first day your site is up and active, you can commence building links for that using a combination of options like leaving comments on blogs and submitting articles.

Addition of contents to your website, especially the ones being searched by the readers would be the key in most cases because information rich websites and net resources can have better chances to get top ranks once some links are built for them. Take a look at directories which contain pages related to your niche and then submit your web address to them and possibly exchange links with only a few trusted and connected sites if you can.
