Page rank update???

When has the last page rank update happened??

coz I got a site which is 2 months 20 days old..
I worked on it for one month exactly..and by the time I have started working on it..I heard that a page rank update is happening and all the people are seeing a heavy boost in their page ranks...and as there are 0 links pointing to my site by then..it was PR 0 then..I worked on it for a month and then I left working on it in the last week as I got busy with my own custom plugin and by the time I left working on it..it is having its page rank as 0. But today I want to try my plugin on my site and when I have opened it it is showing its page rank as 2.

I don't have any idea that the page rank update is still going on and coming to link building...I have jus tried some weird link building stuff experimentally...is it because of this weird stuff or is the page rank update still going on??

Warriors need some help here..

    @uumair: dude afaik pr will not be calculated basing on traffic but basing on number of links....u sure that it is based on traffic???

      Yeah, same happen to my blog. I have new blog less than 3 months and contain only 7 articles and jump from PR0 to PR5. In the first time I think it is a fake PR and I refresh several times and I check by PR checker on line and the same result: PR5 ! Now I have the 5th day with new blog with PR5 and I don't know will drop again to PR 0 when Google update the PR but I like Google rules.......

    The recent PR weirdness is probably not going to stay. I have a site that went PR0 -> PR4 and I barely touched it. I do not expect that to stay.

    yep even I couldn't believe this stuff..

    btw ppl are all these sites that are getting crazy page ranks are having a lot of content???
    Coz my site is having some good content and then some good offpage seo too..so I was jus wondering if google is ranking basing on these parameters..

    I had the same thing happen, 3 weeks old now PR3 with a PR2 subdomain.

    I don't expect it will stay this way, but I really hope that it will :p

    yeah I came across this yesterday that PR got updated again and guess what my site's all pages (all means each ) got PR - 1 from previously PR-0..

    Many of the sites went through a recent PR update. Many of our went to PR 0 to PR 3, one with no content. This is typically a little test of inbound links by Google, if any extraneous, then the PR may go down. IF all the links are of high quality and not extraneous links, then the PR should remain the same. Also, the PR tool bar is only a guide, the Real PR is only kept by Google.
