Advice picking keywords and how to check CPC and EPC of AdSense

Hey guys...

How do you choose your keywords for your AdSense sites? I know about the high-paying niches, but how many exact searches per month and CPC you're looking for?

Also, where do you check the CPC or EPC of the Adsense you'll get per click so to speak. Is it with the ordinary keyword tool of Google where it stats on the right Approximate CPC or is it with the Contextual Targeting Tool...if so, what do you look for the amount there?

It's kind of confusing and frustrating because there are good paying keywords but not enough exact traffic per month so I wanted to know how do you choose your keywords for AdSense?

    Google Adword Keyword searching tool, the CPC It displays is not the CPC for Adsense, thats the CPC it charges advertisers to adverstise on Google.com this CPC number is way higher than the standard Adsense Ads that run on webmasters sites, so I would not go by that number

    Generally you'll get 60% of the CPC number listed. But, that doesn't mean ever ad in the ad blocks will be bidding or paying that price for a click, it could be wayy less or even sometimes more.

    Picking your keywords is largely based on the competition of that keyword. I would look that up and how to do that instead of focusing on the money side of it. Pick some low competition keywords and if you rank high for enough of them, the money will follow.

      I know I get 60% so you do check the CPC at the keyword tool?

      If the competition is not high, doesn't it mean that there may be not enough advertisers for that specific keyword? Or do you mean competition in the case of seeing if I can get to page 1 of Google?

    Again the CPC displayed on Google adwords tool IS NOT the Adsense CPC number
    its the number Google charges advertisers to display ads on GOOGLE.com

    This CPC number displayed on Adwords tool, is highly inaccurate, do not go by that number
    Google charges a much lower CPC to advertisers to display ads on Webmasters blogs etc, (Adsense program) Be sure to be aware of this

    According to TheVerysmartGuy(jeff) a better and much more reliable tool is "contextual tool" on Adwords Kw tool

    those CPC numbers are much more conservative (but supposed to be far more accurate)
