A couple of PPC tips I thought would be helpful

Just passing on a couple of PPC tips I thought would be helpful for someone who may be struggling with their PPC campaigns.

  • If you target your ads to a very small niche audience, you will use a very narrow group of keywords that are specific to what your target audience is looking for. They are looking for something specific and you are delivering it right to them with your targeted keywords and ads. Talk about a win " win situation. You will have a lower impression rate for your ad, but your audience will be clicking on your ad. Your click through rate will increase.

  • Run two ads for the same keywords and niche at the same time. Once you have somewhere around 40 clicks, it will be clear to you which of the two ads is more effective. You will make this your control ad. You will either toss the under-performing ad completely (if it does absolutely nothing for you) or you will make some minor change and improve it. By changing one word, it could become your highest producing ad.

I found these tips to be very helpful. I hope you do too.

If you don't already use Twitter, you should as there are lots of experts on there who share their hints and tips constantly for free (myself included)

For some reason I am unable to post my Twitter link here.

To that I would add a couple of things, use negative words as well and geographic limits, it selects your audience much better, excluding words as "free" or something you don't need.

Good point. I especially like the negative words aspect. I will add this one to my notes.

        Thanks!
